I think intelligence of the person is separate from intelligent thought/reasoning. I do not think creationists are less intelligent people but I do think that creationism is a form of less intelligent thought/reasoning. Those that believe in creationism perhaps have misconceptions, perhaps have not given full thought to the subject, or perhaps simply are hopeful individuals who want to believe in something.

HAPPY DAY!....A GIRL CAN START A LAWN MOWER!
by restrangled injust wanted to let everyone know i took the advice of someone who suggested i wedge the damn thing against the house, taped down the handle, yanked it with both arms and the thing came to life like there was no tomorrow.. i burned up at least 600 calories, the lawn looks great and i have earned my keep today!.

E3 2007 - For the Gamers
by doinmypart inhave any gamers been keeping up with this year's e3 news (xbox 360, ps3, wii, pc)?.
a few games on my wishlist are mass effect, call of duty 4, assassin's creed, and of course halo 3. so many of the game trailers look good, i can hardly wait for the releases.
i've pre-ordered too many games, i'll be broke by the end of the year!.

Fading In? Am I nuts?

in those days i deeply believed in the org and became disillusioned by some things happening in the local congregation.
following some research on the net i decided to fade out of watchtower existence because i did not want to keep mixing with false religion (or so i thought at the time).

I've come to believe that all religions fulfill some need in some people and accepted that for some the JWs may fulfill some needs. What I object is the mind control tactics that disallow people to make their own choices. You know full well what they are and you are choosing to go back and to fellowship. From my viewpoint I can never understand, I can only respect your decision.

A question about time...
by AlphaOmega in...sort of.... there was a thread a few days ago that touched on the subject of time being relative to the observer.. i wondered, does the jwd clock that records the time that we make a post actually post the same time to everyone.. .
i know that it can't get it's time from my pc clock as i see posts at say 8:55pm yet my pc clock says 8:53pm.. so.... what time (according to you) did i make this post ?.
i make it ... 20:46. .
