You have to upload the file first, it doesn't work if you link to it off your C drive. Click the files button next to the profile link in the top where your logoff button and inbox are to upload files.

"the U.N." - it's effects on the witnesses
by gumby inin short......i am surprised of the organisations involvement with the u.n......had the damaging effect to the degree that it did......upon those who learned of it.. when the 'generation change' occured in 94', i thought there would be a bigger fallout.
when the voting issue happened, i thought it would cause quite a stir.
with "dateline" and "fifth estate" uncovering child molestation issue among jehovah's witnesses....i thought many would fall out.. what gets me is the amount , that were effected by the u.n. scandle.

Naw they cover it up with all the guilt that you shouldn't be watching such slander. And the read letters from the platform to the effect.
What gets me is the amount , that were effected by the U.N. scandle. If I were a dub still......how would I have been affected? I would see they used theocratic tactic and "Milked" the U.N. for it's resources as the bible said Gods people would do.....(as explained by the dubs) I would not see this issue as a challenge to dub convictions.
I never even heard of it except from JWD. I dont think there has been enough publicity to have a bigger effect.

Mad Cow Disease in Washington State

but i do think that this is kinda of a payback to the canadians.. .
we had one cow in alberta that had bse, and the us along with many other countries banned all canadian beef.

The sick animal came from a farm in Mabton, Washington, about 40 miles southeast of Yakima.

remember the extremely rare medical condition where a person being tortured can sweat blood that was cited as proof that the bible was true and how this should deepen our appreciation for the sacrifice of jesus?
well the footnote in the reference bible reveals that the earliest and best manuscripts of the nt do not have verses 43&44.

After JW, do you hunger for all the things you didnt do..simple things
by LyinEyes inbeing raised a jw, i honestly did not know what a great big world we live in.
all the places i never went to see, things i wanted to do,,,, because i figured , i will just do that when the new world gets here.
there was always going to be forever to do all the things that make life interesting.. i settled for the here and now as a good jw, meetings, field service, studying the same material over and over in the wt publications, and that was my life.

The worst team uniforms
by William Penwell inaztec and myself were talking about which sports team has or had the worst team jersey.
my vote is for the old california golden seals.
my appoligies to any old seals fans but they were bad folks.

That first uniform is their reto uniforms before they came out with the big V ones. They were around until about 1980.
It's also part of the jerseys they are using now, on the shoulder I believe.
