  that is the idea of bill gates, to pay for spam, anyone sending an e-mail will have to pay.

  it would probably be only a cent or two ( ya right) but many companies and internet services are saying no to this idea.

  Egads I'm a webmaster of more than one site if I had to pay even a penny for email I'm sure I could wrack up a three figure bill in a year.

  as a fader i still get the occassional dub visit.

  it is very rare but i guess at this time of the year it is to be expected!.

  as i was out in the garden yesterday a brother and his family drive up in their very expensive car on their return from rural witnessing.

  it's so hard to choose, but i would have to say the theocratic ministry school was my most hated meeting.

  the first few talks were a rephrasing of mind-numbing society doctrine.

  then it was time to listen to a ten-year old read nwt to us........... #3 talks, don't even get me started!

  once, when i was nine, i farted so loud, from the back row, that the guy giving the prayer started laughing and had to try really hard not to totally lose it.. any other stories?

  We used to be in a book study group where the dog farted. The thing was the people treated their dog like it was their kid...certainly indicating that it was producing a foul odor would have done no good.

  Civil Rights and Gay Marriage have nothing to do with one another, even if CS King wants to make the leap. Being Black, or White, Or Asian is what you ARE, being gay, or straight, or bi is what you DO.

  So what is someone who is celebate their entire life? I certainly hope you wouldn't consider them straight (or gay or bi) no matter what posters decorate their walls, what fantasies haunt their dreams, and who they find themselves attracted to. What would you call them? Funny when someone talks about being gay or bi everyone says it's the ACT not the identity but the same is not said for straights. Can you say double standard?

  As CountryGuy said being gay is no different than any other trait like race or nationality. It is not defined by actions. You want to draw a line between being gay and living a gay lifestyle, fine, but someone who is gay is not gay solely based on who they are sleeping with.

  Oh they are getting more and more ridiculously stupid with their reaching for pagan connections!!

  At least incense actually has Pagan connections in the modern age most of their other conclusions are based on thousands of years ago.

  Yes it does. If a church decides not to marry a gay couple, it would go against the law, and the gay couple can legally sue.

  Um many churches state you must be a member to get married there. Look at the JWs...they wouldn't marry two unbelievers.

  Whoever posted the link to the article trying to prove most of the states are against gay marriage the pro side is 49% and the ban side is 46% in the poll on the sidebar.

  When was the donation thingy enacted here anyway. I swear it must have been the early 90's cuz I thought I remembered mom asking a set price when I was really young.

  did you ever wonder why you got out of the religion?

  was it because you were smarter or could think on your own better or that god directed you?

  i often wonder why i was so lucky to have gotten out and so many are left in.

  Some people were simply never forced to think before. You can go with the flow and try not to make waves endlessly but once something comes along to shatter your perfect little world you are forced to think and do something. For some of us that meant we got out of the organization. Others ran the wrong way -- to the elders instead.
