Farkel you rock man I never thought of using that. They are so entrenched in defending the way theirs is translated that would catch them by surprise.

I remember years ago my mother and I were calling on an elderly catholic lady and mother was attacking her how she couldnt back up her beliefs and smugly telling the car group how the woman had to resort to commenting you just had to have faith. Back a witness into a corner and you will see the exact same thing. It doesnt matter if they have nothing to say back they will still assert that they are always right.

Is It True That Since Leaving The JWs That You're Totally Angry & Unhappy?

the watchtower tries to say that "apostates" are in a bedarkened environment.

they are looking for "true freedom" which they say does not exist.

we are said to be "gnashing our teeth" and angry.

Well any time I get unhappy I just remind myself it could be worse..I could have 5 meetings a week and service every saturday...for some reason that cheers me right up..

Do you believe it is wrong to celebrate Halloween?

i now celebrate most holidays.

What would be your motives in celebrating Halloween? Would you use that day to honor the devil or would you see it as just another fun activity for your children? Is dressing up in a costume and eating candy any more 'evil' on a certain day than it would be at other times of the year?

the other day i received an email from a man in croatia, who sent me and someone else a copy of a picture from a wts magazine.

i wasn't quite sure about the contents, but it looked to be legitimate----but being in croatian i was not sure of what it actually said and i ended up putting it aside intending to check it out (if possible) and then forgetting all about it.

he had also sent this to another person, who went to the trouble of verifying the facts and getting an understanding of what was being said in the picture.

Err oh dear where is blondie when you need here. =| In recent years they have been talking about using the resources of the opposers to further kingdom interest linking it to using monetary and material things of the world. Blah I remember it wasnt that long ago sometime in the last year I'm sure someone would remember that. It was in a watchtower so I'm sure blondie could dig it up. Anyway I think that's probably the point they would make.

she did not go and pretty much told the elders to kiss her ass.

she wants to attend the announcement which is tonight.

I don't think I would. I didn't go to my "No longer an unbaptized publisher" announcement. Damn, they need to shorten that. Why don't they just say "Dispublishersized"?

I never did hear if they announced me or not. In fact up until this moment I hadnt thought about it one way or the other. Dang now I'm going to be curious how they all took it. I know they were all after my mother like the press over a scandal trying to find out where I was..

What's your favourite word?

because of another thread i got curious about whether many people have a favourite word.

i've never really gotten over my first love, which was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (seems like there ought to be a comma in there somewhere).

but that's not really a word.

Yep that's what it is. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=huggles&r=f It's quite the 'net friend thing to do especially if someone is venting to you about their problems and you dont know what you can do for them but listen, although you wish you could do more.

I know chortles was originally a nonsense word when it was in Jabberywocky but made it into the dictionary some time later. No wonder it was a very descriptive word even if it was made up. I always loved the way that poem flowed even the words that werent really words. 'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe..

Rafter and the straw. But really I'm sure it's justified when they do it..afterall they are the "loving" organization from god leading the poor lost sheep..And I mean they would see the negative remarks as merely pointing out the truth.
