  that im having another baby!!!!!.

  just done the test and the line came up straight away....... we were planning on falling pregnant in about three months and happend to fall pregnant straight away...im still in shock but had to share it with you all my family.

  Do the Governing Body members do door-to-door field service?

  those of you that have been around the gb members on a regular basis, do they actually do the door-to-door work themselves, or do they mainly count the talks they give as their field service time?

  It just shows the disimportance of god and god's will when it comces to the JWs. They do not even give the impression that they are dedicated to them in their ceremony.

  My Cats new Litter Box

  alot of you have seen them..automated self-cleaning cat litter boxes..it`s frigg`n amazing!..the cat takes a dump..10 minutes later,a rake comes from the back of the box and scoops up the poop..theres a little garbage can at the front of the box..the garbage can lid is raised by the machine and the poop is placed in the garbage can..then the machine closes the lid and rakes the sand perfect,for the cats next poop..lol!

  !...............theres been many improvements through the years and i`ve just upgraded to the new cat litter box "poopius maximus!"..lol!

  !.......i was amazed how the first model could rake the sand so perfect and evenly.my first thought was:"what do they expect the cat do do,take a poop and play a round of golf in his litter box??"..lol!

  I always wanted one of those my "tech" over the years has progressed from an old soup spoon when I was 8 years old to an actual slotted scoop now :-p The biggest issue is there is something about my cat's pee that doesn't like to clump in the litter the way it did with any other cat, not sure what it is we've tried lots of brands over the last year. Argh.

  were you ever in a fight when you were a jw?

  how about now that you have left?.

  those of you who are christian now do you feel that turning the other cheek is still the right thing to do or that sometimes there is a good reason to fight?

  I was more referring to actual physical fighting but I do like the twist to include arguing as well.

  educ8self: What if it did stand a very good chance of getting you what you wanted? If it wasn't futile then would it be okay? And how about fighting back if they are smearing your character? If you didn't argue back might it not be that a lot of people would think it was all true?

  Effervescent: Discretion is often the better part of valor, but good to hear you stand up for yourself now and are not just a "doormat dub".

  i believe in god, but i also realize he may not exist.. if you don't believe in god, i really don't care, i'm just curious.. i don't have this need to start threads like "why you must believe in god", or other such nonsense, but some of you still have this "control" issue that you thought you left in the org.

  it seems like you must still try to control what others think.

  I am not trying to convince anyone but it kills me to see someone blindly accept a fact without at least considering the opposing viewpoint which it seems a few have done. It just strikes me as a very JW thing to do and therefore something I stand against. I am not for the pushy anti-god evangelism etiher. However, when a topic asks for my viewpoint I will bloody well give it. :)

  I would just give your son a basis in what you believe and why and encourage him to make sound moral judgements in his life. It may be that he sides with your views when he gets older, it may be he finds something on his own. Either way I think that trying to streamline him into formal religion is a mistake akin to the one the JWs make with their kids.
