  Melting Lead On Hogmany.

  now this was a different new years eve.

  chris and i decided to do away with new years eve and, instead celebrate hogmanay.. so, 2 days ago, we set out on the long drive to scotland to see in in the new year with chris's elder brother on his farm near to dumfries.

  Hey Shamus, love ya man. When it comes to a rant you are the BEST.

  I have to vote in on the Croc Hunters side on this one. To me it isn't any different than the millions of other children that grow up on a farm around large animals and harvesting machinery. Sure a cow isn't going to eat you but when you have them penned up for feeding, medications and stuff like that, it is easy to get trampled.

  It wasn't the smartest thing for him to do, but he knows his job probably better than anybody on the planet.

  i'd never thought about this... but last night my father asked for my time.

  and i told him i didn't have any.

  he didn't seem to mind so he went ahead long his way.. .

  Welcome SC_Guy. I wouldn't worry about it. You should feel EXTREMELY LUCKY that you don't get dragged out in service every sat., sun. and holiday. If your dad wants to be creative about his time, so be it. The bible doesn't talk about reporting your service time. That is the WTBTS Corporation putting pressure on the rank and file to sell magazines and books.

  When I was growing up just about everything we owned was garage sale and thrift store items. We never had any problems with "demons".

  I think that the majority of JW's that have these "demon" problems are just mentaly ill from trying to live the JW life.

  Canadian Law might be different than US Law. Also does the law apply if you record your own phone? I don't know the answer to this one. Any legal folk know?

  Las Vegas

  i heard some time ago that have never been any district conventions in las vegas........anyone know for sure?

  there must at least be circuit assemblies ........... if this is true........where do all these ones have to go for a district convention?........

  (la is about 6 hours, last time i travelled it)

  I think I remember going to a Dist. Conv. or Circuit Assembly in Vegas in the early 70's. It was in a rodeo stadium if I remember right. I remember it being in the desert, maybe it was Reno, but I think it was Vegas.
