i just got off the phone with one of the elders.
they said that if i do go to the jc and ask them to help me understand why they believe certain stuff and then ask for a study i will probably not get df'd.
i can "bow" down to them and do their little game if the results would help my family.. i love my family very much.

They are just saying that to get you to the JC. You guys where caught "red handed" with xmas decorations. Which means everybody in the KH probably knows about it, they HAVE to DF you to keep the rest of the RF inline. They are just tickling your ears to get you to show up. It will be nothing but an inquisition when you get there. They are not going to help you understand anything because "you are babtised" and should already know the JW stand on the doctrins.
I feel for you guys, it's a no win situation that you are in.

i find it hard to beleive that one needs a certain formula to follow in order to pray to god.
any formula you find got to be a human invention.
it is hard for me to imagine a god that is so petty that he won't answer a persons prayer unless they follow with the ending "in jesus name" come on that sounds crazy.
I have been out since 92 and from what I understand they have changed the doctrine of the mediator to being for the 144,000 only. So shouldn't the rank and file be praying to the WTBT Corporation as the savior for them?

i skimmed over it (going to lunch right now) and saw the wtbs mentioned a few times amongst ngo's and other scarlet colored orgs.
Maybe this branch is used for the region and not just India.
India does have a large population so there are a lot of potential converts. Growing population pressures and economicly challenged poplulation equals prime assimulation opportunities for the bOrg.
every year about around christmas i get a knock on my door from jehovah?s witnesses.
this is not something i discourage or dislike.
i believe encouraging debate on important issues is almost frowned on in western culture, and i genuinely enjoy the chance to discuss and learn.

If you want to debate active JW's here is a good place for it.

Welcome to the board.
I?m appealing to an enthusiastic Jehovah?s Witness who has a little time to spend for a chat.
I don't think you will find any "enthusiastic" JW's here. This forum is mostly ex jw's. If you want to debate scripture there are many here with great knowledge on WTBS doctrines and policies.

These are the only instances where the WBTS are mentioned in the document. There is a $1.3 mil difference in what the USA branch sent and what the INDIA branch received.

last night, my cell phone rang and it was a number i didn?t recognize.
i answered, and the voice said, ?is this doug??
and he said, ?this is dd ?
Awsome response Doug. Love your statement about armegeddon.
The best way to permenently get rid of an elder is to lend him money.
So F(*&ing true.
i'm shopping for a new refrigerator and wanted to get your opinions on stainless steel appliances.
i love the look of them - but i've heard it is difficult to keep them looking nice because of fingerprints, etc.. .
i've seen some other finishes that look like stainless steel - they have a sateen coating that doesn't smudge and streak like stainless.
I own all Whirlpool appliances and love them (even washer and dryer). Quality is great. Oven is SS and microwave (only appliance not a whirlpool) is SS. Side by Side reefer and dishwasher are black. I use a cleaner made for SS and it works great. SS and black combo looks great IMO.

i was wondering how many famous actors, musicians, and other public figures either are jw's or became jw's at some point in their life.
eveyone knows about prince{b], and michael jackson, but i've also heard that they snagged up george benson, a former indian prime minister and rapper dres of the group the black sheep.
obviously this will be a short list since the society doesn't do much to encourge any kind of success, especially not the kind that will leave you with millions of adoring fans.
Stand up comic Eddie Griffin was most likely raised as a JW. He mentions it in his act when he talks about his Grandfather giving him a present on his birthday because he knows that nobody else is giving him anything because he is a JW.
