At the time I wrote them they sounded "witty" in my own mind. Then when I went back and read them it sounded like I was being a smart ass.

New World Order - Illuminati vs. WT Society
by lucky inbefore i start, i just want to say that this is not any sort of conspiracy-type thread and i don't believe russell was a member of the illuminati.. i just finished reading dan brown's angels&demons, before which i hadn't even heard of the illuminati.
it struck me as curious that the "new world order" as described in the book had some similarities with the society's teachings regarding events in revelation (including the name itself).
in particular, i found it interesting that the illuminati were/are seeking to destroy religion and establish a worldwide government.

What a week.......AGAIN!

well she was back making a rv on him today!.
i found her in bed with him when i came home from the shops..

people do not know who you really are, nor do you they.
i read many of holly's posts but few others.

I am willing to bet that he got in trouble in his congo because he was bragging about how he was yanking our chain to some other JW's. And being the ever good tattle tale we all know how "good" JW's are, told the elders on his ass that he was visiting "apostate" websites.
He was having to much fun in his posts to suddenly up and leave on his own. So to make it look like it was his "idea to leave" he makes a few parting shots as he was leaving with his tail between his legs and on a short leash of his elder overlord.

To those who are ex witnesses whose hearts may be recoverable. You may know by now that most of the 'information' posted to the forum is not true, and that it would be totally ludicrous if it were not so full of hopelessness, hatred and outright wickedness, and that reading it only deepens your despair. You also know that going to the Kingdom Hall and/or approaching the elders in the congregation of your choice will be the start of extricating yourself from whatever disastrous situation you have gotten yourself into The initiatives should come from you.

Links between Jesus and other ancient Man-Gods
by doogie inrecently, at the prompting of another poster, i began to look into the similarities between jesus and other man-gods of ancient cultures.
i was shocked!
not so much by the minute details shared between the gospels and the stories of krishna, osiris, zoroaster, mithras, dionysus and others, but mainly because i had never heard of this before.. things like: being born of a virgin, espousing the redeeming power of baptism, turning water into wine at a wedding, having an entourage of 12 close followers, those 12 sharing a final meal with the god, instructing his followers to eat of his body and blood to benefit from his sacrifice (the blood usually symbolized by juice or wine), sacrificing his life by crucifixion on behalf of mankind, being dead for 3 days and then resurrected, he will return at some point to cleanse the world, and much more.. now, i know this is probably nothing new to most of you, but i was amazed.
