we have a PS2 and a Gamecube. My favorite PS2 games are Baulders Gate Dark Alliance 1 and 2, Socom, and Grand Theft Auto. For Game cube I like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I try to be that way. I like to give the flowers and candy. I like to give rose petal surrounded bubble baths. I like to cook dinner and put on a romantic cd and turn the lights out and light up candles. i like to give sentual massages.

They finally called me (rant)
by freelife inthis weekend the man who is supposed to be my father finally called me.
he did not call me to make up for cutting me out of the family, but to tell me that he is going to have back surgery for two crushed disks.
now i don't mean to sound like a jackass, but if you don't want anything to do with me or my fiancee and her son, why should i give a rats ass about you and you life problems.

I can agree with the thinking that he is looking for an excuse to try to talk with me because he is missing me, but i would still like to think that i am more important to him more than when he only wants or needs my support. But to me I should be his son no matter what. I would personally rather not have any more contact with my parental units if they are going to just drop back out of my life until their next crisis in life. I was just starting to get a good handle on the fact that my family was no longer my family anymore. Now this is dregging up feelings that i worked very hard to get rid of. It's kinda sad but they are almost non-existant to me now so i have a hard time feeling compation for them.

You don't call me for months you don't show any sort of affection for us why should we care? If we show up to the hospital we will get the cold shoulder from any JW friends you have there. You made the choice of cutting me off, not me. LIve with your choices and don't drag me in when you want me to feel sorry for you. You have your other "Obedient" childern to give you sympathy don't call me to get it here.
Of course i did not say these things to him but it is what was immediately going through my head after i got off the phone with him. I have a real hard time telling them my feelings. Anyway i just needed to vent so thanks for letting me do that.

((((((puternut))))) I know that it is very hard to cope with the feelings you have right now. Just remember that there are many of us here right now who know exactly what you are feeling. We were all blinded by the WTS some of us had no choice by beeing born into the org. others of us were blinded by the promises of a org, that told you different things than the norm dragging you in because it is so different it has to be right. Your mind will be spinning for a while my mind did not clear up for a few months. Like other have said, then you will just be downright pissed off at the WTS. Just remember that you have a large support group here. I know that you are a REAL brother of mine one who is in need of REAL brotherly love from someone who has been in your shoes before. Keep reading up on things here and you will strt to see the light at the end of the tunnel my friend. Post your feelings and I am sure that you will find answers to your questions and you will find many new friends.

by doodle-v innearly every cong has few goofballs who you can always count on to give some really off the wall comments during a meeting.
i remember one sister in particular who would give incredibly loooooooooooooooooong comments lasting 5 minutes at least!

I need help with a life changing decision
by Matt_2k inmy family used to be jehovah?s witnesses up until i was about 6 years old, for reasons unknown too me they left.
when the events of september 11th unfolded they started going back to the meetings, myself included.
it started out ok, i was keen to learn, but the more i learnt, the more i realised that a lot of the predictions and teachings did not make sense, so after about 9 months i stopped attending the meetings and eventually stopped being involved all together.

Matt, it sounds like you are in a sticky situation. If you are not baptized, then you are in a better position to keep a relationship with your parents. If you get baptized then you decide that you do not want to live the JW life you will lose more than what you feel that you are missing out on now. If you get disfellowshiped your parents most likely will not associate with you any more. When I was not going to the meetings my parents would still talk to me. They would pester me about meetings but they still wanted me in their life. After I was disfellowshiped my parents do not talk to me. I have not heard from them in months. They were extreamly rude the last time i did talk to them. I strongly urge you to not get mixed up with the JW"s it will come back to haunt you my friend. I don't have too much good advice for you though about how they are treating you now but i suggest that you sit down with them and have a deep discution with them so they know how you are feeling right now. Also tell them that you don't want to be pressured into somthing you are not sure of.
