I agree with Xena....a woman's body is beautiful....and just because someone's complimenting our breasts doesn't mean they don't notice the body attached. I love mine and every man I've known has longed to be a girl for a day so they could stay home and play...LOL....

Please know that not all American viewpoints are represented by what I view as the majority of 'political-thread' posters here on this site.
Because of the insults, condescending and sarcastic remarks that immediately develop when presenting non-conservative views, I quickly decided to cease posting on those threads. This approach was recommended to me by several of the very seasoned members here. Unfortunately, Simon you are right. Many folks here don't know how to debate.
And opinions are often presented as fact. When questioned, one is ridiculed. It just isn't worth the effort, it's like trying to debate Jehovah's Witnesses. An exercise in futility. Just dig those heels in and keep barking your beliefs.
So there are probably many more here that agree with you but just don't want to be bullied anymore.
I was in Paris when the war broke out. I was there 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. I watched international news, read several international newspapers (okay now watch the flurry of French bashing remarks)....and believe me, many Americans have absolutely no idea of the world view of us and our administration. Sadly, many don't care either and use the cloak of "patriotism" as a catch all for defending US bad acts.

My post was responding to Celtic's question "What is your worst state and why"....I replied based on my worst experience.
Trust me, given my experiences and raising a son who is 1/2 black, I am painfully aware that prejudice exists everywhere. I've lived on the east coast, west coast, North West....and seen it in each of those places. Never as overtly as my experience during a trip through the south. That doesn't mean I've fooled myself that it doesn't exist many places throughout the US in one form or another. Part of my responsibility of raising my son has been to educate myself on the experience and history of blacks in our country.

Heather, as a matter of fact I have been and wouldn't care to return. At the time, I was in an interracial relationship, travelling together with our infant son and it was hell. True, there is a great deal of history represented there. Yes, landscapes and some towns were beautiful. But the ignorance and hate we experienced was not. And this was in the 80s...
While its great that you and your friends were different, my experience was mine and shaped my opinions greatly. So, I think it this instance it is you who have made assumptions. Sorry. not to mention the condescending tone of your post really wasn't appreciated.

my worst state would probably be M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I (although it was fun learning how to memorize the spelling in grade school)...
because to me it represents the worst of the worst in terms of racism, hatred, intolerance, and other things that if I mentioned them some of the other members here would jump all over me for.......so I'll leave it at that.
