Why is the rule neccesarry if it is presented just like the society wants it to be presented? So they can continue to control people life. Any other time such as in a Judical case, they do exactly what the society says, in this case they have to examine the evidence even further, this is totally crazy. My friends ex-wife is in another state and therefore what would there before them to look at, since this person has not attended the meeting in years and they will not be able to reach the person, they should be able to just accept the information given to them by my friend.

Question about Judical committees
by scrubmaster inif a committed has been formed for an allegation of serious sin and the person does not agree with the charge is there anything the person can do to let the elders now they do not agree with the charge and if the person is not happy with the three elders choosen for the committee is there anything that can be done before the first meeting.
also a side point, this same person presented evidence of their scriptural freedom just like the society's said is required, the elders had to deliberate over this information even though it was present just as the society stated, my friend went ahead and got married and now all of a sudden the previous information was put on the back burner and my wife and friend now face a judical committee for adultery.
is this the way elders all ways handle cases, they throw out any information which made be in the person's favor and go right for what can be found written in black and white so they do not have to think?

JT- as you know from our converstion -- I have always been different when it came to the truth. You now my current situation and know what got me to start seeing how things work. All a person has to do is research the societies own books to see some of the changes and the effects these changes have had on people. I would say for those who choose to stay in the organization -- if the principles is not to be found clearly in the bible -- then remember your relationship is with Jehovah -- do what you have to do, but you may have to face the conquensces. Also remember this the Almighty was question on a couple of occasions in the bible and even listen to the voice of reason...therefore as I told an elder there is nothing wrong with me having questions, Abraham even question Jehovah....JT is my friend and I am glad I have the opportunity to meet him -- will I leave the organization? I will not answer this question, but I can say this....I will be there for those who want my advice and guidance and I will help them if I can.....remember in the end Jehovah will judge each one of use....he will have the final say.

Bible Principles and Laws and obediance
by dustyb inwhere the fudge in the bible does it say that we have to comply with bible principles and laws and be 100% obediant to the elders??
just wondering

The principles and laws have to be proven by scriptures, so they can not just make up laws that are not bible based. The only problem is if a person does not follow them they can get DF'd or not have privileges. For instance in this country men can not have beards in the kingdom Hall, this is not in the bible neither is there a prinicple to support this, so if a person is a brother and wants to have a beard they can, bu they will not have any privileges. Also their is another scripture which say each one will carry his own load.. and I think the same scripture says that we will all render and account before God, so God is the ultimate Judge.

Were Most Of The Elders "On The Ball" In Your Congregation?
by minimus ini think most of the elders relied on the "smart ones" to help them out.
my experience was that there was probably 2 or 3 "sharp ones".
the rest were dopey!

It is the same rule as every where 20% of the people do 80% of the work. It is the same with the elders. I have given information to elders about things and waited months before I went to see if anything had been done and not a thing had been done with the information I had presented to them. I believe a lot of Brothers do not know what it means to be a good elder especially in the context of the bible and following the example of Jesus Christ. I have no problems with older elders keeping their positions, but serious matters should not be hande by them. Also here is the other challenge for the Society, when I was talking to a CO he said must brothers may age "37" are not reaching out, of course I wonder if they bother to talk to these brothers to find out why(I know they do not.) I know I could never be an elder because I could not try to convence people to follow principles which can not be back up by scriptures. Therefore a lot of the elders are older.

Letter to elders when marriage mate confess adultery
by scrubmaster ini understand from talking to some one who had some knowledge of the situation but could not find the reference material , that the society has something in writing which says if a person believes they are scripturally free and that they are willing to stand before jehovah and face the consquences they can get married -- (this in effect leave the elders out of the equation and they can not do anything to you.
) does anyone know where this reference can be found -- i need it as soon as possible.
i can not find it.

If you still want to play by rules you could try branch again as last resort.
The branch did not write back the last time I wrote -- I will only starting writing to the branch when I am in the committee for my actions. I will also send a letter to the legal department at that time as well -- I don't plan to go out quietly

Would You Give Blood To Someone Against Their Wishes?
by minimus inthis subject came up with my mother yesterday.
she is in her late 70's.
she adamantly refuses blood.

The most complex molecule in blood, hemoglobin ? the major component of the red cell, is available only from blood. In many medical emergencies, these latter "fractions" of blood are essential to life.
You arae absolutely one percent sure about this -- to make one more point we all take a stand on somethings in out life -- the soldiers who die in war do they get to make a choice ? (hum) You may say the don have to sign up for the army -- but this would mean they would be drafted to fight and sometimes die for something they do not believe in -- people are entitle to there beliefs - I notice no on touched the issue of religions who do not seek medical treatment at ALL -- therefore at least they do not just want to die it is just one treatment ! We all make choices therefore if this is some ones wish it is not up to anyone to stop them
