The Campaign for California Families?!?! What a joke! Why don't they work on reducing the causes of divorce if they are so interested in the sanctity of the holy matrimony! The Christian hypocrisy in this country amuses me. We won't allow homosexuals to marry because we want to keep the sanctity of marriage, but you can get unscriptural divorces at the drop of a hat.

That picture would get anyone else disfellowshipped, but see what happens when your daddy makes such large contributions to the WTS?
Her daddy isn't a JW. I don't think they are active witnesses so not much of a double standard. Unless of course we want to compare all the inactive JWs on this site to active JWs and call it all hypocrisy as well.

Did Jesus pray to himself ?
by hooberus inwhile trinitarians believe that the father, son, and the holy spirit, are god, they also believe that they are distinct persons within the one god.
thus they are able to speak to one another.
so jesus (one person) speaking to the father (another person) in prayer is not a problem.

If Jesus had one more persona he could have a good game of pinochle going all by himself!

As a school teacher, how should I treat witness kids?
by Atilla inok, i'm going to college right now and i have about 2 years before i become a certified history high school teacher.
however, i am already beginning to do observation hours and it has got me thinking.
i will almost surely end up with dub kids in my homeroom for the flag salute or in my regular classes.

I agree with Sassy. If a Muslim or Atheist passed out information against Christianity, there would be an UPROAR! I'd leave the religion to the child and their parents and respect their freedom to believe and practice it. Even if the student came to me asking questions on it, I would encourage them to do their own research on it so that you don't get in trouble with your employers.

Pedophile In Our Apartment Building!!!
by Utopian_Raindrops inthere is a pedophile in our apartment building!!
i am really distressed that in his case the judge did not rule he could not live in the same building as children!
i called the police once i found out about him and they said he was a compliant offender.

That's great that you are doing everything within legal limits to make people aware of this. Just be careful...we live in a very litigous society, and I can't think of anything worse than a convicted child molester being able to use the law to sue someone who is simply trying to inform and protect their neighbors...but its worth checking out to make sure it is legal.

Personal Bio per request
by dustin_adam inhmm.... where to begin?
i should first state that i'm someone who has nothing to hide, although i'm not prooud of some of the things i've done in my life, they were nonetheless experiences to be learned from, and i have spent much energy in trying to do so.
this may turn out to be a rather lengthy posting and even still, there are many things that i will innevitably not include.. i was born in victoria, bc in 1982, the majority of my childhood is not available to me so i have to live mostly on information from my family to fill in the gaps, but we moved around a lot after that up until i was 5, when my parents divorced.

"So here I am, as I said, I have nothing to hide from the world, judge me if you may, there are 7 billion people on this planet, if you'll judge me, there are two more who won't, i'll get to know them instead." That's a great line! Welcome.

Megan's Law does require them to register with the Police Dept, but that does not necessarily mean the public will know where he lives, unless they go to the police dept and inquire about him. I've tried it before and it is not as easy as it should be. Some states will post it on the web, but CA does not.

Definitely one of the best albums of the year! What about Disc 1? A little closer to the normal Outkast output...
Ghetto Musick - The usual Outkast funk laced over a bombardment of drums and bass.
Unhappy - A happy go lucky RnB sound
Bowtie - Great horn intro with a touch of 70's East LA Soul.
The Way You Move - What can I say? But I know you all wanted that 808...
The Rooster - One of my favorites...the great horn track gives it a New Orleans Funk feel.
Bust - a Haunting but more traditional hip hop track
War - I'm running out of stuff to say now, but this one is a definite head nodder with an interesting beat change right in the middle
Church - Less anthem like, more sing songy with a great soulful chorus
Tomb of the Boom - Probably my least favorite track, but if you like Ludacris you might dig it
Knowing - I swear someone tapped Curtis Mayfield's spirit for this track!
Flip Flop Rock - Another one I think they could have left off, but I'm not big on name dropping cameo's. A definite Parliament sound and if you like Jay-Z, you get to hear him too.
Reset - A soulful jazzy tune with some great keys layed over a run of the mill hip hop beat.
Last Call - a definite traditional ATL sound, good wrap up song
