  Steaming Angry - Forced to explain Shunning to my 5year old daughter!!!

  i am absolutely hopping mad angry!!!!.

  to those of you who know me, you are aware that i have been fading for over a year now.

  i have a daughter who is 5 and a son who is 2 y. in brief iast year i separated from my husband, left the organisation, met someone else and am now expecting with my new partner.. well i have had the usual ups and downs with my jw family.

  Slow to help....Quick to punish!

  ok...thought this was interesting.. mom called this morning practically begging me to go to the jc meeting that's coming up this weekend.

  i explained that i had asked 6 different elders to get a study started with me within a span of 4 years because i was "feeling weak".

  each time i asked for a study i would say "i need help because i'm losing faith".

  it's because she went to the meeting yesterday and talked to an elder and he probably told her that I have a good chance of not getting DF'd if I did go

  That is a standard tactic, get a family member to tell you 'it'll be okay' or get an elder you are friends with to con you into attending, then they df you. Son's of bitches.

  I never really aspired. I got to do mics and auxilery pioneered two months. Then I quit.

  an era in the ex-jw history is over.

  kent steinhaug's site http://watchtower.observer.org is being shut down.. it was the first of it's kind, and to this day probably still the largest anti wt site on the net.

  There is another problem if we do it this way: so far, we have had pledges of $675.
  

  So, does everyone that has pledged send their money to Kent? If not, who does and who doesn't? And how much do we decide to send to Kent?

  Alternatively, everyone who says they are sending a donation, send it and drop a note here to say that you've sent it, and as soon as we reach $500, no need for more donations.

  Get them to put it in writing in a mailed letter that they want a meeting and exactly why they want a meeting, and advise them that you will have to check your legal position with your lawyer.

  Everyone gets dumped as far as I know. I have heard of some whose family still speak, I havent spoken to my JW family since the day Ieft,

  My dad is an elder, my brother is df'd, my dad goes around to help my brother on his house, when we are all in the same place we sit and eat dinner together, even when I'm not there my brother will go and have dinner with my parents and grandma (grandma who is roman catholic). My mother said that if anyone tried telling her she had to stop seeing her son/s, she would tell them that she would never stop, and if that got her df'd, so be it.

  Is it just my zealous family, or does everyone get TOTALLY dumped when DF'd?

  I think more often than not, people get totaly dumped. I was born in and left when I was 18, never df'd. My brother is df'd. As a family we get on better now than we ever did, there was never any shunning.
