What's your basic attitude?

i think that if i had to describe my basic attitude toward life, the universe, and everything in one sentence, it would be this:.

generally, and on reflection, life is better today than it was yesterday.. very anti-thetical to the wt view of things, i know.

actually it's more like... 'so what, get on with it, get on with it or kill yourself' and since i won't do the latter i get on with it.

Speed Limits

i had to drive about 600km (370 miles) to hamburg and back again yesterday on business.. for those of you that don't know, large parts of the german network of autobahns (freeways) have no speed limit.. of course, those who say german's don't have a sense of humour won't have though in detail about having a network of two-lane dual carriageways with no speed limit.

a very funny idea.. it was still a pretty good average speed (about 135km/h, 83mph) for the part of the journey in germany, and we , but as i got up to 220km/h (135mph) at various points and cruised over 160km/h (100mph) a lot, if they'd been a third lane it would have been a lot higher.

one side effect is once you are back down to normal highway speeds (120km/h) it feels like you're doing 50k/mh.

Anyone else a speed freak? Anyone else regard speed limits as 'suggestions'?

yep, i like to go fast, i view speed limits as a thing designed to generate speeding fines and capital for the governments, therefore to be ignorred completely when other circumstances allow, which on 2 wheels is most of the time.

he's done it all himself, by letting his organization make wrong predictions about the end, by associating themselves with the united nations, and by letting them shelter child molesters.. it's that, or the watchtower society really isn't god's organization.

i agree with johnny here, totally, i got no problem with jw's being banned, but i guess being rounded up and shot would be a little extreme wouldn't it? i will never advocate this half cocked freedom the world talks about, it's garbage, every society has the right to protect itself from what IT sees as its enemies, the jw's do it, western nations do it, eastern nations do it, so are the russians, good luck to them.

Yahoo! Responds to gMail

for several years now i have been paying about $19 a year to yahoo!

for an expanded email box with 25mb of storage.

today i got an email from them with the following message... sounds like a good deal to me!.

have they removed they spying facility from gmail? i remember reading that within gmail they had embedded an application/script that 'read' (scanned/recorded) the emails you send and recieve, supposedly for 'advertising' purposes, i remember there was a shitstorm about privacy laws being breached.
