Did God create man to live forever?
by shotgun indubs always point back to genisis as a last resort and say ....well he created them to live forever, it was his original purpose.. where does it say that?.
genisis says that they were to multiply and fill the earth not that they would live forever.
if they were to live forever what was the tree of life for?.

WOW!!! - Now that's is alot of wives.
When I asked my mother why it was ok for men to have more than one wife back in the bible days she said: " because there weren't many people on the earth back then and they had to populate it fast". -lol (She was a JW at the time)
So what is wrong with having more than one wife in today's society?,
and why do jehovahs witnesses condem it?
Because don't some countries still have have men with many wives?
(im confused).......

FORNICATION - Friend or Foe?
by adamgraziano inis fornication as bad as the jw's say it is?
jw quote - "the aftereffects of immorality are as bitter as wormwood and as sharp as a two-edged sword?painful and death dealing.
a troubled conscience, an unwanted pregnancy, or a sexually transmitted disease are often the bitter consequences of such conduct.

Is fornication as bad as the JW's say it is?
JW quote - "The aftereffects of immorality are as bitter as wormwood and as sharp as a two-edged sword?painful and death dealing. A troubled conscience, an unwanted pregnancy, or a sexually transmitted disease are often the bitter consequences of such conduct. And think of the enormous emotional pain experienced by the marriage partner of an unfaithful individual. One act of infidelity can inflict wounds deep enough to last a lifetime. Yes, immorality hurts."
The way the JW's put it make me never want to have sex! (It sounds terrifying)
So, I'd like to hear it from all you "evil doers" out there - Is it emotionally painful and give you a terribly troubled conscience?
Does sex before marriage inflict wounds to last a lifetime? Is it painful and death dealing?

SEX: As a JW, Were you ever thisclose to having sex and then chickened out?
by Funchback inas a jw, were you ever thisclose to having sex and then chickened out?
being raised (since the age of 7) as a jw, i grew up very frustrated sexually.
everything about sex carried a heavy burden of guilt.

I too tried to have a couple of girlfriends in High School, but as soon as anything sexual started happening I ended the relationship immediately, leaving the girl and I confused and hurt. I avoided girls like the plague after that ( I just couldn't bear the guilt trips that came with the sexual feelings I would have).
A confused little BORG was I.

Being too picky>>>
by Frantic inarrrrgh, ive been labelled by many as too picky.
this ever happen to you guys?> it is known that most of us humans will never meet the 'right' person for us, or perfect, if u will.
for example, i might meet this good looking chick, and she wants to have sex immediately, and im not into that - first, takes away the mystery and second, whose to say she wouldnt do it the following night with some other stranger?

Well said FreeLife.
Frantic... I'm the same age as you and live in the same Country, so I feel where your coming from. But all I do is try not to think about it to much. Every time I think about SEX or relationships I just get out of the house and go swimming, exercise, friends house, play a cool video game etc...Take up some more activities ( I myself enjoy weightlifting, good stress reliever) . Hang with people who aren't always talking about SEX (I don't know if your friends are perverted) and try get out and about more, so you don't have time to worry about it all. And like FreeLife said, don't force it, (becuase you will probably just end up with the wrong person if you do.)
P.S - But I must agree with you, there are some mighty fine ladies up there in Queensland.
Take it easy.

Thanx for the welcome party guys.
But the weird thing is...I still feel like I'm doing something wrong by being here.
I must have been brainwashed pretty hard all those years.
Old habits die hard I guess.
It's just so weird... I was born and raised in the truth, and don't know how to live my life without it !
What do I do now? What's next? I don't really know if I even believe in god!
Do I go out and get a girlfriend now? ( I always turned the ladies down, because my parents and the elders told me to)
I don't know where to start.
I just want to curl up into a ball and wish it all away!
Nothing makes sense anymore.
:-(
Adam
Have a great day everyone!
