i still like the quote, "there are none as deaf as those that do not want to hear, and there are none as blind as those that do not want to see"

Do you think some people are better off with the borg?
by new light ini work with someone who is df'ed, actually my cousin.
he is trying to get reinstated.
we got into a semi-heated discussion and i gave him a lot of my anti-wt viewpoints, trying to get him to think for himself.

Study gone bad
by galaxy7 ini had my bible study today, it was about demons, anyway the sister said that those shows on tv.
against jws are instigated by demons.. i told her about silent lambs and that it was true and had nothing to do with demons.
unless it was the molesting demon elders she was refering to.

you're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't. so i suggest standing up and telling him to either listen to you or bugger off and live the rest of your lives together....

actually, you know, i heard something funny a few months ago. one of my friends father (hardcore dub) owns a computer shop. a customer came in and it just so happened that his wife died a few days before that. immediately my friends dad asked if he wanted to study the bible, etc etc. i haven't heard him mention them since, and i haven't seen anybody new at the KH...

eh, actually the name "Jehovah" isn't used by just Jehovah's witnesses as they claim. So it could just be some other bible thumper coming and trying to use the name...

Witnessing to Witnesses: Flawed Doctrine or WT Misdeeds?
by imallgrowedup inwhen we witness to witnesses, what is the most important thing we should talk to them about first - flawed doctrine, or watchtower misdeeds such as the un, child molestation, etc.?
what's your game plan, or what worked on you?
inquiring minds want to know!

use one of Amazing's governing buzzards posts. it was about how that dumbass Rutherford released early a book before WW1 was over (the draft was still in effect) stating things specifically anti-patriotic and against the draft and trying to dodge the draft and stuff (keep in mind that the military service doctrine didn't come into play until about 1960's?? ). It goes into huge detail and it explains 1919 pretty well actually. i like it a lot and its very very interesting.

Another nite at work, thinking how to get the elders back...
by dustyb ini remember a post a few days ago titled "have you ever gotten back at the congregation/elders" or somethin like that.
and now.....i think i have the answer.
all these elders think they can go around, saying their shit doesn't stink and disfellowship anyone who disagree's with them or the organization, or if they "get ahead of jehovah".

i was thinking tonite about how much the elders have said and done to my g/f, my friends, and me. I remember a post a few days ago titled "Have you ever gotten back at the congregation/elders" or somethin like that. and now.....i think i have the answer. all these elders think they can go around, saying their shit doesn't stink and disfellowship anyone who disagree's with them or the organization, or if they "get ahead of jehovah". And the big thing is they won't even think twice about it! so how would these bastard elders feel if they were the ones that were getting disfellowshipped.... So i was thinking and thinking and thinking and something hit me, like a ton of bricks dropped on my nuts (i actually almost dropped a pallet of tiles on my foot tonite =P). It hit me, what if they were on the other side. I know that the elders and MS and even loyalist to the congregation won't think twice about framing somebody to get disfellowshipped (ask got my fortey homey?). So why not frame the elders?? How you ask? The easiest way i was thinking was to actually fill EVERYTHING up with apostate literature and get them disfellowshipped upon the basis of apostacy. I know its cruel, but they think that it won't ever happen to them. but the way they make my g/f feel, and my friends, and me, they deserve it.
so tell me what you think. Framing an elder for apostacy a good idea, yes or no?

Ever Seen The Movie 'Blast From The Past'?
by cypher50 inyou know, the one where brandon fraser grows up in a bomb shelter and finally comes out after so many years to a world totally new to him (like some modern day rip van winkle)?
that is how i feel right now except i simply got out of a religion.... i am not totally clueless; i fortunately was allowed to do most of the normal things that kids do while growing up (play videogames, watch all the tv shows i wanted [including smurfs] & listen to the music i liked) so i am not a total square.
however, i am 24 next month and yet i am out of 'friends' & relatives to hang out with (they ditched when i da'ed) and i have only made two true friends outside of meetings/school/work in my whole life.

man that sucks. but i do remember reading one story where an ex-JW man got DF'ed and his wife divorced him and he moved somewhere to the NW portion of the US. One of his co-workers took him to a club, and this one woman picked him to dance (this guy couldn't dance), and he made a total jackass out of hisself. then he went over, apologized, and she asked him some questions (this guy was an artist and extremely well off with a porsche and whatnot), but the lady didn't believe him. so he took her out, showed her the porsche, and took her to the house where the famous art was hanging and she was shocked and bewildered....
i guess the moral of the story is be yourself..... getting back out may be hard, but there's always some place out there. conversation starts with a simple word. "Hi". go to a club and see wat u got. get drunk as hell and have a good time =D
