Lost
by Puternut infeeling lost today.. it's the weekend, and i will be once again going home to an empty house, where my children won't be welcoming me home.
i haven't seen or talked to them in a very long time.
i won't be able to kiss their sweet faces, or hold them close to me, so i can tell them i love them.

i'm really getting mad
by dustyb inok, these damn elders have pushed it.
they've told my g/f that i don't believe in god and hate and despise him.
they've told her that by disobeying the elders advice, she is disobeying jehovah.

Don't know your exact situation, but confronting the elders probably won't change much, may reenforce their present opinion. Your g/f has to make a choice, just make sure you offer her enough to seal the deal.
Does she love you?
yep, guaranteed love and sealed the deal. we are hopelessly dedicated to each other, and i told her that i'm going to help her out in any way i can and that i'm always there for her. and i always am. right by her side no matter what. i'm thinking about taking scully's approcah, but if i do, i'll get kicked out of my mom's house because she's a JW too. so i'm dealt a a few apples short of a bushel and i have to find the missing apples. my g/f just told me to fake it until we move away. and i don't want her losing her family, because for the most part, a lot of her family are really good people, just caught up in the WTS. and i'm willing to do that until we can move away. i told her a few things tonite, kinda just seeping it to her. she'll hear a lot more today tho.....

From the age of about 15 onwards, I had a problem during the final prayer..... For some reason every time the final prayer was about halfway through, I would get an erection. I don't know if it was somehow the excitement of the meeting being over and we get to go home, or whether it was the blood finally returning to my lower regions. I dunno. Now every meeting, I would sit down until the problem would subside, then I would go outside to the car.
i think every kid had that boner problem. but since i was "big" for a 13 year old, i didn't mind. all of the teenage sisters would look and smile, and i would nod back in acknowledgement knowing what they were thinking.
probably my most embarassing moment was when i went to the kansas city DC, and i had heat exaustion (sp). i spent all day just puking my guts out in the hallway. i could never get to the bathroom fast enough because mom decided to pick a seat in the nosebleed section very far away from the bathrooms (anyone who's ever been to Kemper arena knows what i'm talkin about).
back to the boners, i think all of the brothers popped boners during the sex talk because either their wives weren't too attractive, so they were thinking about the other hot sisters, or else they just didn't have any chance in the world of getting a significant other, so they stared at the sisters and popped the boner. i remember during the sex talks there was a lot of strategic bible placing and song book placing, heheheh.

Do hours in preaching affect social status?
by new light indeep down, i guess i know the answer to this one, but what the heck?
is it common for someone to have a diminished jw social life for no other reason than being a low-hour publisher?
not to seem conceited, but at the hall i was always smiling and quick-witted (i believe), talked to all types happily, gave good talks and demos, dressed well, smelled good, etc.

oh yes yes yes. if you don't go out in service, you don't love god. its really stupid. my g/f's mom is a pioneer and she's perfect. even though she just recently lied to the elders to try to get my g/f disfellowshipped, and her husband is a waste of space. they are still in good standing and looked on as a perfect parent even though all of their kids hate them and the husband is an abuser of the past. i know a lot of other people like that. matter of fact, this one guy at the other congregation here in town is looked upon and considered spiritually strong because he gives talks and goes out in service a lot. he's only 17 and expects to be an MS when he turns 18. the sad part tho...i know more about his own religion than he does. poor guy. but ya, thats the case, go out in service more to push the corporations literature and opinion and you gain standings...
