i think i read some study somewheres that because of the stress that teh WTS puts on your life (unnoticed stress), everyone turns out whacky unless they get out. one of my friends that i grew up w/ that was a JW ended up whacked out on crack (his parents were hardcore JW's), etc etc. stress = whacky, muhaha

iono, everyone was either old or older in my congregation (with the exception of a few mid 30's and 40's fellers). Everyone that was young mostly decided to leave or something, but all of the elderly in our congregation was respected for the most part (at least thats the way it appears).

iono, i've did a lot of just plain stupid stuff. i've jumped off of a few houses, out of a few trees, and i'm a really badass driver. one of my most memorable times tho was probably racing a cop on I-35E in Dallas, TX. he didn't turn his lights on and i was going 80 and he was going faster, so both of us hammered it. it was fun
prolly the other most stupid thing i've done is ride bikes and skateboard, because i take those to the limits (i guess thats why i don't do either anymore). For instance one time i was riding down the busiest street in my city and doing a few tricks here and there and i was hit by a car right by taco bell. it sucked ass.

How old were you when you left?
by somebodylovesme ini only know a handful of witnesses, but i do know several ex-witnesses.
all of them left in their late teens, which (as i've read here) is pretty common.
i know there are a lot of people here who left later in life.

A point from the "Worship" book
by Rick Aust insince i'm still an "active" jw, i've being to the book study and we are going threw the "worship" book, (i was getting sick and tired of the 2 isaiah books) anyway.. on the "worship" book p124 p10 it states quote "those of the great crown are pictured as being marked for survival.
(ezekiel 9:4-6) "the mark" is the evidence that they are dedicated to jehovah, baptized as disciples of jesus, and involved in cultivating a christlike personality.
" end quote.

?It was only after studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses that I received satisfying answers to my questions about the purpose of life. My Bible study has enabled me to come to know Jehovah as a person and to develop a deep love for him. This provides the basis for me to maintain a healthy spiritual outlook as I endeavor to live my life in harmony with what I know know to be his purpose. Now, both my wife and I have the satisfaction of knowing that we are usung our life in the most meaningful way possible.?
so, what about a close, personal relationship with jesus christ, since thats what being a christian is about..OH YA, Jehovah's Witnesses are followers of god and not jesus...i forgot about that.
