We've been moving and working on the new house for the last 16 days. We are hot and tired. We don't have any idea where 3/4 of our 'stuff' is because it's still packed all over the house.

But, we're happy to have that part behind us now and are starting to settle in.

I've had NO Internet for over 2 weeksand...*gasp* NO MORE DSL ! There is NO cable ! No Broadband ! I'm out-in-the-country with 24.6k DIAL-UP ! AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am finally ready to move to dallas!

i pick up the moving truck friday morning, load up and head out of ohio about 1 a.m. monday, which will get me to dallas monday evening.

i'm moving from a 4,200 s.f.

Ohio...I just saw this ! I'm glad your're finally on your way.

You've picked a HOT time...100° to 105° degrees everyday. I know because WE are moving this weekend too ! Yep, a 24' truck filled 2 times to the brim. We bring the last load in on Sunday, it will be 'both' of our worldly goods finally together under the same roof. (a lot has been in storage)

We will be closer to Dallas, but, still to the south. So-o...be sure to write & call when you land.

PS: Drink LOTS of water...

Apostates - blood on their hands?

don't you think the witness leaders would have given up the blood doctrine and 1914 by now had not apostates made such big things of them?

haven't they been painted into a bit of a corner where, if they tried to adjust things on blood now, everyone would come down on them like a ton of bricks?

if apostates were not so vigilant in watching the witnesses' every move, perhaps the governing body would have tried to drop the dubious doctrines by the back door, like so many others that they have discarded when they did not feel to closely watched (organ transplants, for example).

Thank you for recognizing and feeling sorry for my loss and that of others due to the Blood Issue.

Now, to use another dark chapter in JWism: Are you even aware of the prohibition of vaccines by the ruling class of JW leaders ? That the American Medical Association was part of a 'conspiracy' to make people sick on purpose...so they could treat them for money ? Yep. Fact !

Embarrassment, public pressure, bad PR and yes...apostates all indeed put pressure on the GB. Can you possibly imagine this world without vaccinations against disease ???

One of the 'roles' I see for X-JW's is a "media" type. We are the "investigative" reporters as well as the 'fluff' types. There are also X-JW's that remind me of rag magazines like, "The National Inquirer."

Either way, the "Squeaky wheel get's the grease." We squeak, yell, scream, reason and have a lot of hurt that we tell others about.

That is why the GB considers us such a dangerous enemy...we expose their lies. We cannot make them change, but, we can bring the force of public opinion to bear heavily down on their shoulders.

Love is NOT a Human Need

one of the most difficult things for ex-jehovah's witnesses (heretofore referred to as ex-jws) to deal with is the loss of friends and family -- "loved ones.

" rejection hurts, and the pain seems to be very intense for some.

ex-jws seem validated to feel so awful since most humans naturally believe that love is a human need.

No, it doesn't. One of the reasons for this is that love, contrary to popular belief, is not a human need. It's a human want, but not a need. Humans have an innate biological tendency to have a strong desire for love, but no adult need ever died from a lack of it. Human needs are actually very minimal: air, water, a certain amount of food and general safety and security. That's it. That's all that is required to live.

Well, maybe in YOUR life it's not, but, in mine and many others it IS a need. So speak for yourself !

There have been enough JW shunning related suicides, that most people can draw accurate conclusions about whether "love" is only a want. Our brains need love and human contact to be mentally healthy.

Anything else is a simple, cold, sterile existence. My cats & dogs thrive on love. Have you ever seen a zoo animal that is caged...without any contact from it's own kind ? For an extreme example, look at what damage 'sensory deprivation' does to a person's mind.

I LOST IT ... my JW rant today

well, i just couldn't hold it in anymore.. today, i exploded, talking to my mother about the family inheritance and how i am being screwed.. i told her i had been so angry lately, and just had to tell her what i was thinking, because the anger was slipping out at times, and i was making snide anti-jw comments .... which is not my way.

i'm usually quite direct.. i told her that i couldn't take being treated like a piece of dog you-know-what on the bottom of someone's shoe any longer.. that in the past couple of years, i had learned so much filth about the jws that i was getting more and more disgusted day by day.. i started shouting ... there is nothing wrong with me!!!

why do i have to be shunned when they hide child molesters???.

Tal, my good friend, I'm proud of you. After all the talks we've had...I know your mother needed to hear your words (whether she know it or not), as much as you needed to say them. This has been coming a long time.

That 'empty' feeling you have, rather than the 'really good' one people are talking about is likely because there is no resolution...yet. You don't know just how she'll take it or when or if "it" will ever sink into her brain.

I have the same feeling when dealing with my dub children & relatives -- empty. Sometimes it's like 'everything' is just fake, nothing is real inside them anymore. Now I have a DF daughter, she's being shunned by her other siblings and even her mother to various degrees ! WTF happens to people's humanity, their empathy and love when they become entrenched in JWism ? Where does it go ? How do we help them to get it back ?

Tal, I hope you've pried open a little door in your Moms mind, planted that little seed and smoothed it over. Now, keep cultivating.

The blood issue nearly killed my child, because of my and my X-wife's JW beliefs.

The blood issue DID kill my mother, because of her JW beliefs.

Perhaps if she hadn't signed the death warrant papers the GB requires of their 'faithful' she might be alive now. She was unable to communicate what she wanted to do at that very important time.

She was conscious, her eyes showed her fear about what was happening. She was mute, because of the ventilator in her throat. She saw our fear. I don't believe for one millisecond she 'wanted' to die, but, die she did. AND, she absolutely would have lived if she had taken Hemoglobin, which is 'OK' as a conscience matter for JW's.

My Mom had not been clear about 'blood fractions' hell, she did not know the difference. The Hospital Liason Elders and my JW relatives are the ones who decided my Mom should die for believing in the old men in Brooklyn.

Extremely ;seldom ;cases comes to that point, though. ; A concious, faithful JW takes the best care of him/herself possible and seeks the best medical treament in order to avoid reaching such point. ;
In the majority of cases, JWs or otherwise, even with the blood having been applied the person would've died anyway.

Extremely seldom...? Well twice in my life I've been faced with this ! Try using the word SELDOM so cavalierly to the many thousands of relatives that have lost their loved ones to this murderous Jehovah's Witness policy. Somehow, I don't think they look at these unnecessary deaths as you do...with a *shrug* of your shoulders. Oh, well, it wasn't your Mom or Dad, or child, brother or sister...was it now ?????

BTW, is this another one of your 'hit n' run' apologies for the Governing Body ? What...do you get a per diem from the WTS to come here and insult people with this unfeeling swill ??
