  No problem. Both of our votes will be for Mr. Obama. He has turned the economy around, slowly, but surely.

  If his healthcare program survives the republican assault...just imagine how many new doctors, nurses, CNA's, offices and support people will be needed (EMPLOYED) to serve the 35 million uninsured.

  And, all these people need to be trained -- in new schools -- to be built by lots of construction workers that want to work again.

  Think of all the employment possibilities ! Think of how much money will be SAVED when uninsured people are not using Hospital Emergency Rooms for colds, flu, minor ailments. Think about diabetics and other chronic illnesses being managed in a clinic for 10 times less money ! The average ER visit can be $1,000.00. Do you really believe that doesn't affect your hospital bills ? Insurance costs ? Taxes ?

  But...#1...Santorum only has a chance, because Romney is a Mormon. And, Santorum is Bat Shit Crazy... he wants to send troops BACK to Iraq! He is a war monger. How can we EVER balance our budget while fighting all these wars ? He is vewwy, vewwy scawwy...

  And, finally -- he wants to crack down on Internet porn.

  Gay and proud for a year

  wow... i cant believe it has now been a year since i accepted that im gay.

  it has been the best year of my life for so many reasons.

  i have met my boyfriend who i adore, i have stopped lying to myself, my family and my friends, i am doing really well financially and spiritually, and of course, i am no longer a part of a deluded and oppressive religion.. it feels so good to be free!

  Bloodplates... Can it Really be Justified?

  i was thinking about something.. getting a blood transfution.. thats wrong right?

  oky and theres allot of scriptures supporting that.. so is giving blood at a bloodbank allowed for witnesses?

  no, its not allowed.... oky so heres my question.... witnesses are allowed to use blood plates... where does those blood plates come from?.

  To me (and many, many others) there is only ONE IMPORTANT THING... My sweet, faithful, loyal-to-the-death JW mom died -- thinking she was 'making Jah smile'.

  She & almost all of my JW relatives still believed that Lie. They are proud that she has ensured her place in the resurrection, and they want to be there for her!

  But, MrBunyRabbit, here is the point I know you will take to heart...a few months after her horrible, smothering useless death...The Watchtower Corporation executives made another change to their Human Sacrifice Program -- they started allowing the transfusion of hemoglobin.

  A simple "conscience matter". We never got a "Thank You for your Sacrifice of Sis. please fill in blank " or even some Posey's. They do not care. They never have.

  The sheer amount of factual information you've just read, will, as someone said, 'never can be un-learned'. Stay tuned -- you have a ride ahead of you.

  Getting rid of your blood card may not be enough

  i want to share a potential problem that could come up in regards to those that have left the watchtower corporation and no longer accept their doctrines concerning blood.. obviously step one would be to get rid of the blood card; however.... recently i was put in the hospital to have an apendectomy.

  the usual occurs in which a screening process is performed and records are updated before a major surgery; at least if your conscience.. one question the adminstrator nurse asked was whether i was still a jehovahs witness member of that church and if i still refused to accept blood.

  i quickly updated my files telling them my current status and said i would accept blood.. the blood card was an indicator in an emergency if you were to be rushed to a hospital you did not know.. hospital records are not updated unless we choose to inform them.

  A few years after I was out of the JW'S, I had signed papers at a few doctor's and hospitals stating my changes -- I want -- blood if I need it ! My JW mom DIED USELESSLY over this stupid issue.

  But, before a serious back surgery, the same happened to me as Maksym, the records showed I was a JW ! Refusing blood! I had the lady keep putting the new info in until the computer files were purged and reflected the current ''Truth".

  It was a simple hospital mistake...I had never been to this hospital, but they had merged with another hospital I had been to in the past -- my records merged, too !

  When Mormons are 'door knockin' they wear bright white shirts, black coats, (unless it's really hot), black belts, shoes, pants... sigh. O' and they rode bicycles and locked them to stop signs and such !

  When I was a 'true believer' and Reg. Pioneer in the years before Armageddon -- we occasionally had amusing encounters while 'heading to the next door' -- only to see the Mormon missionaries headed towards us -- and, the very same next peaceful victims home !

  It felt like an old Italian Spaghetti Western -- a showdown ! Damn lucky for the householder, eh ?

  OWWWWIE!!!! Plantar's wart.....

  kk, i've had a small plantar's wart on the bottom of my big toe for a looooooong time.. recently, it started getting bigger and more painful.

  i googled, and found a home remedy consisting of placing apple cider vinegar soaked cotton balls on the wart and covering it in duct tape.. can i just say......this f**cking hurts!!!!!.

  it's been almost a week, and it's turned black which means (i think.....i hope) that it's working.. extremely painful.....can barely walk....it throbs constantly....i have to get up in the night and deal with it.. anyone?.

  Yep. And most of the JW's just 'turned with the page' without blinking -- they accepted the next set of lies.

  My JW relatives are still the proudest of what their sister, mom, aunt, etc. did. I am the only one with the open mind that changed -- and the guilty conscience !

  My Dad was not a JW. I should have explained more about my doubts and I believed my JW sisters when they begged me not to talk to him...they would do it -- promised !

  They never did. And a really fine woman and mother died -- faithful to a fault and a lie.

  Just had me a piece of Church's Fried Chicken -- the Best !

  I started asking questions a long time ago...and was 'swatted down' by elders saying I was "...on thin ice with those dangerous questions..." I was a regular pioneer for several years and I needed wanted that job. I married somebody just like me, raised kids (little chicks) just like us.

  But, a TON of chicken fell on me when my JW mom died -- refusing a blood transfusion. A few months later the geniuses at the Watchtower picked up their telephone from their Boss -- "He" apparently had just 'OK'd' the use of hemoglobin.

  That would have saved her.

  Spiritual Food served at the proper time, huh ? Does anyone still believe that one ?

  Another day, another apostate. Here's my story.

  been lurking for a bit, and feel safe enough now to tell my story (condensed).. i'm a third-generation born-in, but my parents were inactive for most of my upbringing.

  this means i got the worst of both worlds--no worldly friends (home schooled all but grades 2-3), no witness friends (since we never went to the hall except for memorial), and a generally isolated upbringing in a tiny, tiny town.

  needless to say, my emotional, social, and personal growth were stunted.
