I am so sorry for the pain you're going through...but...I do have to admit that you've come a long way already. You've gained many tools from this site to use in your life. You've listened and commented to others in deep pain..and yes...helped them. We try to help you too...it's all we can do. No, it won't bring your daughters back, but we can all help to fill this huge void in your life...just keep giving us the chance to do that. When you post here, it shows me that you really want us to help you..do we?

As to why I post here? It's to keep healing and watching people like you grow stronger and going on with life. It keeps me going too. I also feel close to many of you here. I can come on this board and tell you all whats bothering me and know that I will always get a response from someone somewhere out there who has their computer on anywhere in the world. What a great feeling.....

Why do you keep posting here?

you know i like to post these dumb'uns but i was thinking this tonight as i sat here thinking what to post.

then i thought to myself, why am i sitting here "wondering" what to post on a forum like this.

i think i get more than the fair share of stick here for posts i have made because of what i do post, and i can live with that.

I post cause life is so good on the outside of the Watchtower walls. I want the new ones to know that. I also have become quite fond of many of you here. I enjoy the comments and laugh and cry and share good and bad times. It takes a long time to get rid of those traits we were brainwashed with. We can all help eachother and so what if we feel better but stay with this board. Aren't we all good friends?

Remembering dead ones on their birthdays....

my boss lost his wife about a year ago and when her birthday came, he was very upset and his whole family got together.

i thought to myself how nice that was and how birthdays must mean so much to people.

because i was raised a jw, birthdays just don't have that kind of emotional meaning to me.

I thought to myself how nice that was and how birthdays must mean so much to people. Because I was raised a JW, birthdays just don't have that kind of emotional meaning to me. It's like I'm numb or something with most holidays. I don't even remember most of my families birthdays. How sad that is......I feel like I've been raised to be so cold and uncaring. Do any of you feel that way?

i am new here and i have never been a jw, however by boyfriend has been one for most of his life.

he is now kicked out of the church.

i have to deal with his pain over the experiences he tells me about in regard to his association with this church and i don't know how to help him.

I was raised a JW and left about 13 plus years ago. What a change to my life! It's nice to be part of the "world". The only bad thing is that most of my family is still in there and don't have much to do with me.
