  What Makes Some ExJWs So Angry & Others So Pleasant???

  from what i can see, it appears that some exwitnesses are either handling life outside the organization pretty well or not well at all.

  i wonder if some persons simply, by nature are angry, unhappy persons while others are naturally good, "honest-hearted ones" that simply want to find some measure of happiness.

  They remind me of the rabbit in alice in wonderland, running around telling everyone how late it is

  I would be alot happier if I could tell them what I really think. But I dont

  even i am pretty shocked at this one... .

  my daughter who is 20 years old and df'd for about 2 years now is attending meetings again.

  but yesterday she tells me that she didn't feel like going to the meeting and that her mom probably wouldn't even know that she wasn't there.

  there may be a few that are aware that hope and endurance are the theme of the current two-day circuit assembly.

  last weekend i attended the assembly at the brooklyn assembly hall.

  Education: They came down very hard on education. But this was the first time I remember that they gave a reason why. They stated that when a child goes to college the society loses the kid to the world. So the only logical solution is to do all we can to prevent these kids from going to college and getting a career.

  Imagine if there is to much education they might figure out 607 is the wrong date

  Did your elders ever anounce the names of inactive publishers?

  new castles recently posted a topic asking if there were any specific comments people made that caused us to question or leave the orgnaization.

  this caused me to remember one particiular incident and was wondering if anyone else experienced anything similar.

  our service overseer came to our bookstudy and did his routine talk on, "you're not doing enough", "what you are doing isn't quality", "do more, more, more" in the field service.

  One of the sisters was there at that bookstudy while her name was read - my mouth was literally hanging open - I couldn't believe what I was hearing - what happened to confidentiality!. Then he read out another older sisters name - this second sister was something like 85 years old at the time and had faithfully devoted more than 50 years of her life - and towards the end when she was sick, bedridden and dying, he points out that she is one of these evil, selfish "inactive" ones. I was literally sick to my stomach

  If that isnt a sign of true love of your fellow man I dont know what is.Thats just awful how they treat people

  I am so suprised by the knowledge of the people here

  I to have checked and studied for myself

  If i had any doubts before I dont now

  I do enjoy sharing what I have learned with the good witnesses in my community

  The usual response is that the people on the web are bitter and have a grudge against the society

  I have found this not to be true.

  I just wish the people here could write the watchtower and awake magazines.I bet they would become best sellers

  i have recently been studying some of the theology of the baptists and comparing it to that of the watchtower and i have learned some very interesting things.

  by the way, i am new to this forum and i am not sure if it usually discusses topics such as this, but i will be interested to read everyone's responses.

  ok, these damn elders have pushed it.

  they've told my g/f that i don't believe in god and hate and despise him.

  they've told her that by disobeying the elders advice, she is disobeying jehovah.
