  Would The Internet Have Saved You?

  this question would apply more to those who chose to become a jw than those who were raised from birth in it.

  if you would have had the internet with all its information on the jws when you first started studying, do you think you would have been warned away from them?.

  i use the internet now to google anything new that i am considering getting involved in.

  I'm not a believer in that 'if' thing. That same 'if' will apply in 5,10,20 or 30 years time. Adjusting to the times makes life more bearable.
  
  The internet is an awesome vehicle, it's like magic at your finger tips. Life is also magic. Only 'if' I were young again, yeah, yeah, yeah. A little humor never killed anyone.

  consider the scene: jesus has just been baptized and immediately leaves for an extended stay in the wilderness all on his lonesome.

  now ... already this is something the governing body would discourage any jw from doing, but i digress.. along comes satan.

  jesus knows it is satan, because of how satany he is.

  Interesting topic fellows, keep it up. Here's a point I made to the org in one my lengthy letters to them. If Jah expels people like he did with Adam and Eve in the garden, why did he "...make long garments of skin for Adam and for his wife and to clothe them?" Gen 3:21,22

  just got this email this morning...anyone know if there is any truth to this?

  haven't been to an assembly in a while, so i can't say that i've heard one way or the other.

  normally i'd just disregard this as someone talking blarghey but it came from someone who usually doesn't send me that kind of stuff.... .

  If there's truth to the rumor, then the FDS AGAIN has DECIDED the great tribulation is upon us!!!!! Wow, what startling news!!!!!
  
  What proof do they have? I mean, since the late 1800's, this same message has been preached. If they are so sure, why don't they SUPPLY the DETAILS to this up and coming devastation.

  on finding the "truth" a former jehovah's witness asks: .

  what troubled me most as a jw was that how i could be sure i had the truth.

  if you choose a religion and claim it as the truth, it's like saying you are smarter than anyone who believe other religions... imho.

  My Wife Just Left Me Because of the Evil Watchtower

  this is very difficult to write because i am crying.

  i am normally not the kind of person you will ever see cry because things don't affect me that much but this has got to be the hardest things i have ever went through.. i just got through discussing with my wife my feelings.

  i guess it has been hard to hid some of the things that i have felt since i have learned that many of the wt teachings are false.

  It's not encouraging to hear about your situation, it pains me. You made a comforting thought and that is, "...but eventually she comes back and everything is OK."
  
  Whether witnesses or not, couples need to talk things out together and not point fingers as to who is the blame of the situation.. You need to come to some neutral ground to talk and work things out. I know it's easier said then done but what alternative do you have?
