The GB: evil manipulators or misguided fools
by New Worldly Translation ini've been pondering this question for a while now and i haven't come to a conclusion yet.
on the one hand there is evidence of psychological manipulation in their publications.
they discourage questioning of their authority or even their fallability and try to whitewash past mistakes.

What's your greatest coincidence?
by ozziepost inwell, haven't you had things happen and you just know they're not accidental ...... or are they?
some people don't 'believe' there are such things as coincidences but whatever, what's the greatest of coincidences that has ever happened to you?
kinda like "what's the most coincidental of coincidences", eh?

Sinners-Not even eating with such a man!
by cindykp in1 corinthians 5:11 "but now i am writing you to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man.".
if we were not allowed to be spoken to after disfellowship, why doesnt this scripture clearly say "not even speaking with such a man"?
there is a major difference between getting together and eating with sinners, than there is talking to them at the kingdom hall.

Gumby, included he said, "Take that and give it to them for you and ME." Matt.17:27
In my last letter to the GB some years ago. I brought this scripture to their attention, 1Cor. 5. I then referred to their 'All Inspired Scripture" publication to what 2 Cor. chapter two had to say. Interestingly, the time between these letters was about a month. Note what Paul said in 2 Cor. 2:6 "This rebuke given by the MAJORITY is sufficient for such a man, so that on the contrary now, YOU should kindly forgive and comfort (him), that somehow such a man may not be swallowed up by being overly sad."
OK, who 'rebuked' this man? Was it the elders or the 'majority?' He was welcomed back in a month's time! (Somebody can double check the info. in the AIS book) What is the length of time for reinstatement today?
Paul wept over this young man, is that the 'attitude' of the elders today? Paul said in verse 10, "Anything YOU kindly forgive anyone, I do too." Is this practiced within the congregations?
Paul's approach to this 'rebuke' differs greatly with the WTBTS! Do they follow scriptural procedures?
They never answered my letter!
Found it, its on page 213 and it says in the first par. "Not many months had passed since the writing of the first letter to the Corinthians."
The time element 'still' differs with the org.'s. 'Not many months..."

I'll begin with a wager, how long will you remain cool?
Kill them with kindness. If they suspect that your out to get them they will excuse themselves, if their experienced.
I'm interested in the results.

kls, recently my son went to court to get 'full' custody of his son. Of course here in Montreal the women wins 'most' of the time. He did however win in that he got more visiting time with his 8 year-old son. The son 'requested' his dad to help free him from his mother.
This girl was interested in my other two sons, but they didn't want anything to do with her. She finally latched on to my third son, well, the rest is history. The older brothers told their younger brother, she's trouble. My wife and I stayed silent.
To make a long story short, this girl is going through another battle with another man for HIS house and property!
Anyways,on our part,we had one big family party for my grandson!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, there's more to the story.

Tough day -- my mom died today
by cruzanheart inpoor thing, she's had alzheimer's for about 10 years and the last year she's been on hospice care because she's been so close to death.
the past few months she's been slowly filling up with water -- they gave her lasix (not sure of the spelling) to relieve the edema and it worked, sort of.
last weekend she actually looked a little better.

My condolences. When I hear news of this nature it reminds me of my father passing away in front of us. It also reminds me of my father-in-law, he was a great person.
As you said, 'she went peacefully.'
