Nice post. I agree with you on all but the Divine inspiration of the Bible and God's name being Jehovah- but the latter is inconsequential, IMHO. Thanks for sharing your reasons for believing.

Great post, thanks for sharing your story I can relate to the DA being made with no personal presence at the JC meeting. Glad to hear you have the view:
I don't intend to become like that. There is no point dedicating your life to hurting the WTS - if you do, it means that they are still hurting you, still influencing your life and still have power over you. It's OK to stick around to get some answers or to do something to help others but if people are replacing the WTS with AntiWTS then I think there is something wrong. You have to let it go and leave it behind and live a happy life. That is and always will be the best revenge on the WTS.
Ditto. Best to move on happilly, knowing that's in the past.
Now, why in the world would you want to move to Canada? I mean, it is way too cold up there (unless you're talking BC).

i've noticed that they are two seperate beings entirely.
i just think about the ot circumstances, when wandering through the wilderness god guided moses and the tribe with a huge smoke cloud during the day and a pillar of fire during the night.
to prove that joshua (i believe) was to lead the people god made dew appear on a rag in the morning and no where else, then when joshua questioned again he made the opposite occur.

I see now. Anointing such ones with Holy Spirit is the work of God. But I wouldn't call it a "miracle" because only the person so "anointed" feels so. I feel that if you exercise faith in Him, His Son, and the redeeming power of his Son's ransom sacrifice.and pray to God for His direction and guidance, both in studies of Scripture, and the way you conduct yourself, anyone who God sees fit can and will be "anointed" with His Holy Spirit. So it's still going on, it has not ceased.
I'd also add (not sure if this why you asked) that all believers (except those referred to in 1 Corinthians 11:22-32: 27 Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. 29 For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. 31 But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment. 32 When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world. ) should therefore partake of the wine and the bread after they have been prayed over.
That's my belief.

time to pick on the guys!
i was an adult when i was conned into the corporate cult known as jehovahs witnesses.
before that time i hung with a rough crowd of guys who carried guns and did bad things to people they didn't like, or who were stupid enough to let these guys know they disliked them.
Now, if we're talkin' emasculated, yes, I'd say there were many more of those.
- people who drive slow in the fast lane.
- people who are hypersensitive
- people who can't stand hearing a differing viewpoint, no matter how valid
- people who have poor hygeine and grooming
- people who make sweeping generalized judgements about others based on some statement they misconstrued
- people who put words in my mouth
- people who stifle a good debate
- people who just don't get it.
- people who would screw over anybody to get their "piece of the pie".
- people who are backstabbers.
- people who are cruel to other people or to animals
- getting a bunch of work dumped on me at the last minute
-having to do someone else's work because they are incompetant or lazy.
That's some of 'em, anyway. Believe it or not, my being pissed off is of a very temporary, fleeting nature, however.

I?m not sure about your question, and here?s why: I don?t consider ?anointing? a miracle. Rather, I would define it as a ?ceremony?, or a ?rite of passage?. Why? Well, here?s the definition (American Heritage) of ?anointing? I refer to:

tr.v. a·noint·ed, a·noint·ing, a·noints
Whereas, ?miracle? is defined thusly:
mir·a·cle
n.
That is, anointing is done to signify attainment of some metric, whereas miracles are presumably performed to lend credibility to a claim, or perhaps strengthen faith.

and -- surprise, surprise -- it wasn't an ex-jw meetup.
Are parties a meet-up? If so, lots of those.
Bar, show, and/or restaurant get-togethers? Lots of those.
Dances? Occasionally, some of those.
Are business meetings? Lots of those (yawn).
If those aren't "meet-ups", then I'd have to say no.

I checked Pennsylvania's laws- you have to send an email to the State Police with your request, because the PA Supreme Court reads in Megan's Law that: "a citizen may request..." so the request is in the form of an email before they will (I suppose) send you a list of 'em. Pretty cumbersome. I think if I go on the website, I should be able to push a button that says "I request..." that should be enough of a "request", eh?
I should send 'em an email, although perhaps I don't want to know...
