in order that they could use the un library for research.. but, the ngos have to fullfill yearly requirements promoting.

Below are numerous links "proving" the "assertion" Mad speaks of that Judah B (not K) Schroeder was actively helping promote the Watchtower Society's agenda as an NGO affiliate with the UN by sitting on various Human Rights Commissions. Further, the WHO, UNESCO etc are additional arms of the UN beyond that of the HRCs and it would be interesting to see if the WTS agenda with those can also be as easily shown by internet documentation:

They were very active. To convince yourself go to google.com and type in Judah K Schroeder and another key word, say, Jehovah's. He represented the Watchtower Society for example by sitting on a lot of the Human Rights Committes of the U.N. I haven't researched it but yes the Awake mentions the WHO (World Health Organization) which is another UN arm frequently.

It or some other arm may have been assisting JWs who went from Malawi to other countries, thus freeing the Watchtower Society from having to shell out a lot of money to help their own when in need of food, medicine, tents. You might talk with Hawkaw for further leads. Should be an interesting research topic, so keep us posted.

The problem is not that the WTS utilized the UN's resources including those dealing with political issues like refugees so much as it is that it hid this from the rank-and-file while condemning the UN as the anti-Christ beast of Revelation.

If you disagree with comments you can also say it there. If you have comments on other congregations, those would also be welcome.

The congregations do not have to be ones you actually attended, but can be ones you heard of.

The string has become very interesting with nearly 3,000 hits. I plan to update it within the week with comments on places where people bled to death.

So far most comments are about this place or that had pedophilia, gossiping, greed. Again, feel free to add your own comments.

Despite the Watchtower and other groups misteachings that the Bible itself does NOT back up unfairness to women as this proves:

THE WOMEN MINISTERS CONTROVERSY (RO 16:1): All the way into the 21st
Century the more common view was that the Bible nowhere sanctions
female ministers even though at Romans 16:1 Paul says "I recommend to
you our sister Phoebe a minister of Cenchreae's congregation," and he
asks that she be assisted because she defended many including himself
(16:2). Also, few note that Prisca, also called by her longer name
Priscilla, along with her husband Aquilla both risked their lives for
Paul, maintained a church or house congregation in their private home
(Ro 16:3), and that she and Aquilla took in Apollos, already a
capable teacher, and instructed him even more correctly about God (Ac
18:26). Further, Paul said let older respectable women be TEACHERS of
what is good, though it is true that he also added that haughty women
must not teach or disrupt meetings (1Co 14:33-4), something obviously
equally true for men who are haughty.

In reality the only true perfect teacher of a Christian group was to
be the Bible itself through which comes the wisdom of God's own
Spirit (2Ti 3:16). Also, note that not a few but in fact many women
went to minister to Christ and the 12 apostles, women were among the
120 receiving Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Ac 1:14) and women definitely
⌠prophesied, meaning that they as well as men saw and spiritedly
spoke out for God's will (Ac 2:17-8). Some other notable women in
the New Testament part of the Bible are Lydia, Dorcas, and Martha.
In the Old Testament or Hebrew-Aramaic scriptures Esther, Ruth and
Naomi, Martha, Sarah were notable, and Judges tells us that Deborah
was a Judge, meaning she served as did other Judges such as Samson.

In reality each individual believer and groups of two or more
believers has the right to decide for themselves as to who actually
deserve to be called their house (of God) servants, meaning their
ministers. First century structuring was by autonomous cooperating
house-churches rather than by a top-down hierarchy such as Rome later
forced onto believers until Protestantism renewed much of the lost
Christian freedoms. Paul said all things are possible but not all
things advantageous (1Co 6:12, 10:23) so, for example, even today in
some places, notably in some Muslim lands, calling a woman a minister
could even endanger her life.

Therefore, as Paul said, we should simply let each Christian make the
decision as to whether or not to consider a respectfully behaved
Christian woman as in fact acting as a minister for them and others
(Romans 4:15, 14:1-5, 1 Cor 10:23). Being a servant of God
(minister) is not properly a position of power and control over
others, but simply an untitled condition of humble, helpful service,
an acknowledgement of fact by virtue of deeds and attitudes. Writing
in the year 111 A.D., not long after the apostle John's death, the
anti-Christian Roman Pliny the Younger noted that he had had two
women tortured for being deaconesses, that is congregational servants
(unsalaried ministers). In October 2000 Jimmy Carter, a former USA
President, disassociated himself from the Southern Baptist Convention
which he said was trying to force all members oppose women ministers,
although staying a deacon in his Plains, Georgia Baptist church
which, like some other Baptist churches, is not against women
ministers.

So the reality is that good women have always been good servant-
ministers, and in case any wonder, a Christian man wrote all the
preceding which says that in Christ all servants are simply
Christians regardless of sex, race, etc (Ga 3:28, Ac 10:34). The
writers of this are part of an international, informal nonprofit
fellowship of Christians, the Active Christians of Jehovah. We

Go ahead and say I lied......... I either did or I didn't.

If you can't say I lied, then if you like my "straight talk" or not, the fact remains that something needs done.

Address the problem, not me.

Again, did I lie or not in saying ajwrb was inactive in 2001?

I will return to this issue again and again until there are positive initiatives by ajwrb or some new replacements.

Answer, did I lie or not. Was ajwrb active or inactive in 2001?

I have no interest in word-fights but great interest in ACTION. So do those who are dying or about to die, so too relatives of those who bled to death in 2001.

This from the ajwrb.org website itself on the 5th paragraph also lays out that there is duress via threat of disfellowshipment. The courts and doctors need to know and since ajwrb isn't going to inform them but rely on some-of-these-days news articles others need to start doing it. The year 2001 was a do-nothing year for ajwrb.org, maybe a single radio talk given at most. So much more needs done. See the blood dripping from the children and babies, the young women giving birth, car accident victims! Read this:

All 12,000 members of the adult church in Queensland, have been sent a 24 page form with key answers already filled in.

One Jehovah's Witness said signing it was like "signing my death warrant". She said members had been told to return the signed forms to their religious elders or risk "disfellowshiping". However the Jehovah's Witnesses City Overseer for Brisbane, Dale Irwin, denied signing the forms.was compulsory. The church ban on Transfusions was highlighted in December when 18-year-old Tully Ioannides died in the Princess, Alexandra Hospital after refusing 'life-saving treatment. A Queensland Health spokesman said the legal standing of the new health directive was yet to be tested against law it might conflict with, including the Criminal Code.

AMA President David Brand said some doctors could face an ethical difficulty witnessing the health directives because they took a Hippocratic oath to save lives.

sorry if this has been covered before.. the standard response to the 'why?

' question from the wbts is that they needed a library card.. this has been debunked by many people who say that this is a lie - you do not have to be an ngo to gain access to the library.. so i ask this question of them: so why did they become an ngo of the un?

i mean, why risk the charge of hypocrisy that would surely arise when they were found out - they must have had a reason.

The easy and correct explanation is money and power. The Nov 22, 1998 Awake gives several articles cozy toward the UN but then one complaining that France has declared the Watchtower Society to be a cult against the enjoyment of full rights for French citizens, denied it tax exemptions as given other charitable chuch/nonprofit groups etc. In Africa the WTS found they could get the UN to provide food etc to JWs who fled Malawi to Mozambique, thus allowing them to pay relatively little to nothing for helping the Malawian JWs. The WTS was able to speak at Human Rights Commission meetings against various countries which like France had declared it against the public good. Though no longer an official associate with the UN the old personal ties with UN staffers can continue to the extent that local JW elders are not aware of what the men in Brooklyn did, though I hear that in Europe this second some of the elders may be dissenting a bit more openly over the 1991-2001 UN liason. Easy answer: power and money.
