Beautiful pictures Celtic. I must say that since i moved back down to Devon, i'm much more inclined to let someone else drive nowadays. Especially this last week, when i've been able to sit back and gaze at the wonderful scenery as we drive around the South West during work hours. It's lovely.

So, to answer your question again! lol
For some time i have been interested in ancient civilisations, and Earth history. After a number of years reading i felt guided to put to paper my thoughts and conclusions on a number of things. The paper i titled, Peaceful Coexistence.
Over more recent years, i have become quite spiritual and interested in ascension and the raising of our state of conciousness. To be brief, we are all capable of good and evil, and of states of great calm and chaos. We also have the light of Source within, and, i feel, the darkness of the void. I feel that if Humans were to live with and integrate, both of these, and other races, we could achieve our true and higher potential as eternal souls.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. Your description of it meaning to you of having one foot in the door and the other outside, nearing freedom, felt very powerful to me, and if you would like to, could you please tell me more on this?

i read somewhere else of the thought that discussion boards for ex-dubs, are not the place to heal unless there is proffesional help onboard.
i disagree.
Personaly i feel that DB's are an invaluable tool in helping yourself to find solutions to problems, and, or, making a decision to change something in your life. Not all people, myself included, are comfortable with seeing counsellors or therapists. I did some bereavement counselling for a few familys, but at the end of the day, all people need is time, differing information and opinions from a variety of sources, and anyone can make up their own minds, or come to terms with loss, or change something about themselves or their lives.
Familys seem to be separating more and more these days, and i feel that it's the loss of these pools of information and opinions that are the cause of a lot of peoples problems.
So i say hoorah for the internet and discussion boards. For if there are gaps in our families, they more than fill the need!

i'm just curious.
i am not a jw, nor do i ever plan on becoming one, however, after reading some posts regarding dating i was wondering how couples who are say 40+ handle it.
if either had been married previously and were now single again how does one begin dating when there appears to be so much control?
Geez Finding love at my age is hard enough without someone else imposing a load of stupid rules upon it. I've placed so many of my own already that its nigh on impossible to meet someone! Thinking of dumping the lot and letting nature take it's course. I would be willing to wait for sex untill marriage, having abstained for a few years already, but not the rest of it.

Well, a few yars ago now i was working at a funeral directors, and was hired out to this film extra company. Ended up in The Bill, which is a serial police soap over here.
Also was in an episode of Inspector Morse (dead on time) with John Thaw, who is a bit of a grumpy old so and so!
My favorite though was, The Camomile Lawn. A period drama, set as a group of old friends, independantly making their way to a funeral and reminising of their past together. To see Felicity Kendall at breakfast was a treat, but shocking to see her come from make-up as an oldy 2 hours later!!

Thankyou for starting this one off Nina. Suppose i was trying to hide out a little amongst the posts really! Y'know, Ashburton is about a 20 minute drive from me. I might well have been in the book shop you spoke of too! My family used to go to Ashburton almost each year when i was little. I was 8 in 1974, and was probably at Waterleat campsite, about a mile from town. We'd regulary walk into Ashburton, to get our eggs from my Aunties farm, and Mum would often pop into this little book shop and pick up something to read! I hold some very dear memories of those years.
Anyway, again thanks for your welcomes, and i look forward to getting to know you all. Feels good to be here.

Hello everyone
I'm new here and have been just reading some of all your wonderful postings. I've a lot more to read yet, but thought i'd put my oar in here if you don't mind.
I'm a water man myself. I suppose mineral water could be better, but it's so bulky, so i just fill bottles from the tap and put them in the fridge. Tastes delicious cold, and chilling it seems to do a better job than a filter.
After reading that coke dissolves a t-bone steak, and the rest of it, i'm not sure if i'll drink one again. Will have to look into it a bit more.
Love the comment that Cows milk is for baby Cows, not Humans! How true, but it does taste good!
