  The Supremes Abolish 4th Amendment

  just a couple of days ago, the us supreme court ruled in a case that has demolished the 4th amendment which states:.

  amendment iv: the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

  previously, you were secure in your person, including your cloths, car, house, etc.

  officers can, upon simple suspecion, invade your home, or whatever place or thing you consider sacred to yourself, including strip searches, use of truth serum to get inside your mind, or anything else ... just to see what you may have.

  I understand what you are saying, but I think you are a little over the top. No one is going to start crashing into our homes or stip searching us tomorrow because of this ruling. I personaly am glad the cops got the guy. There was suspecion on the part of the police man... I know, I know... Then any cop can say they were suspecious and do what they want!

  Sorry, don't buy it. If your not doing anything wrong, why would you worry?

  Vigil for my daughter, please.

  as mentioned in my other thread, my daughter lena is having brainsurgery on monday, jan 24. the surgery will last 6-7 hours, so i'm hoping the board members will be willing to make a special effort tomorrow to send positive thoughts, healing energy, good wishes and prayers her way.

  we are asking that the surgeon's hands be delicate and skillful and that lena does not bleed overmuch and that brain damage be minimal (if not non-existant).

  surgery begins at 8 am eastern standard time (us), but we have to have her to the hospital by 6 am, so this is "good night!

  My interview

  had my interview at work this morning.

  i felt pretty good about it when i walked out of the room.

  this afternoon the manager offered me the job and i accepted.

  How did you brutally destroy your WT publications?

  the only wt publication i brutally destroyed was a brand new copy of the revalation book.

  i was so frustrated with the religion that i ripped the goddam thing into a hundred pieces.

  it was a great way to take my anger out on it.. years later when i was dating this one girl, she had a copy of that same stupid book.

  Actually, books do not burn that easily at all, because the pages are so tight and close together. Oxygen only get to the edges.

  I was Molested by my CO grandfather

  i was molested by my grandfather from the age of 3 to 7. he was also molesting his daughter (my aunt) and maybe others.

  it was covered over and my entire family was actually shunned when we went to the elders when i was 18. i did not tell anyone about it until then because my grandfather had me believing our relationship was special and it was our little secret.. when confronted, he of course denied it.

  my mother even spoke up of a time when he had tried to molest her when she was 8 months pregnant with one of my brothers.

  compares the societies stand on ymca membership with their own membership with the un.. http://watchtowerunitednations.blogspot.com/.

  Why did I leave after 50 yrs a JW

  i am not posting this to justify my actions, i am doing so for the benifit of any witnesses who are unsure about there feelings toward the "truth".

  i was a reguler pioneer for about 8 yrs, back when it was 100 hours a month, befor thet i did a couple of yrs as a vacation pioneer, they later changed the name to auxilery pioneer, and during the following 20 yrs i had a few intermitant spells as an auxilery when i had time to.

  during my pioneer years i have given talks at circuit assemblies and had assignments at district assemblies .

  Thanks for sharing your story.

  Isn't it amazing, how so many of us, after being/serving in the bOrg, and finally leaving; we feel like we have wasted our time and lost so much.

  In other religions, people simply choose to attend/belong to another faith. It's no big deal. They didn't waste decades of their life shunning family members. And they aren't worried about the family and friends they'll loose once they leave! They didn't cheat themselves out of an education that would have given them self esteem, and the ability to retire comfortably. Once they leave, they feel ignorant after seeing the bOrg from the outside. What a crock!

  Warm Shock On A Cold Day

  for those of you that know my background, you know that my only sibling, a sister (nonjw) disowned me back in the '70s along with my parents when i became a jw.

  when i daed myself in '99, i wrote them and apologized for making a terrible mistake, etc and heard nothing.

  i just got an email from my sister asking for my address because she wants to write to me, and she signed it "love, your little sis"..

  Hear the wind as it howls through the trees

  The crickets chirping amongst the rustling of the leaves

  The night has come, the air is now dark

  Only now can you see with your ears, hear with your heart

  Inside all is calm, the air is now still

  A dimly lit room from the candle on the window sill

  All alone, you must live in this dimly lit room

  Waiting and wandering if your life will ever resume

  Loneliness is a disease that goes strait for the heart

  Leaves you wandering aimlessly, aimlessly through the dark

  You may wonder the crime for which one must pay

  I tell you now sir, this pain needs no crime to call in the day

  You may reach out for help, cry out in pain in the dark

  But in this dimly lit room you bleed, bleed strait from the heart

  Urgent! Need help - I told my parents.

  we have just gotten home from sunday-meeting, when my mom ask me if i believe in god and so on.

  so i tell her, cause you adviced me to be honest.

  and despite all my fears, she took it very calm, and then told my dad whos also taking it calm, and it doesnt seem like theyre hating me now or want to throw me out of the house.. the thing is.

  Accually, I told filip he had a pm. At least two moderators on this board know me and my family. Though many people here are not known, I have no doubt it is one of the most closely watched boards on the web.

  Isn't it nice afin, that you can come here and are able to speak all you want, unlike the jw class of judges who won't even alow us to show our faces at weddings of our own families and other jw functions including jw boards.
