Arker, My ex (still a good JW) Falsely accused me of some pretty disgusting things Id rather not say. She used my children as pawns. The "friends" in the kingdom hell was trying very hard to brain wash my children against me. I almost went to jail. There was this Ex elder who started the trouble and lit the fuse to this night mere. I got the hell out that cult with my children. It was the worst thing that ever happen to me in my life!!!!!!!!! Share your crazy jw divorce behavior stories
by arker inso after marrying a good jw girl at 18 who was an elders daughter (married at 18 like most jw kids).
she was leaving for weeks (6-8) at a time to "visit" her parents in the same state(3 hours away).
i finally had enough of it and told her it was over.

overcompensating when leaving JWs?

seems like a lot of people that leave in their early 20s tend to become wild party animals as soon as they leave da troof, getting tattoos, piercings and the like and going almost overboard with it.
anyone ever experience this?

I was raised in "the truth"TM. When we were young we were not even aloud to play with water guns. We were restricted from watching any thing with guns on TV. Now I own legally many rifles and hand guns. I have a concealed carry permit and have a member ship at the local gun range. A total 180 in life style. I don't smoke gamble or tattoo's .

cleaning house
by purplesofa inwhat do you do to get yourself motivated to clean your house.. do you go through spells where you are just not interested in housekeeping?.
i am going through a phase(which now seems to be seroius) of just doing the least amount possible.
same with my yard.. i kept thinking something would spark me, but its just not coming to me.. i would almost rather move than do anything!!!!!!.

I am a single parent. My daughter was living with me at the time. It was the Sunday morning rush to get to the meeting. We were a little late so we just sat in the back room were the noisy kids were. There were no seats in the back. So we just sat in the back room trying not be noticed. Just then the attendant said we could not sit in the back room he found seats for us at the very front row. I felt like every one was staring at us and she felt very uncomfortable. After 5 minutes I whispered to her are you hungry? Go ahead you go to the car first and I will meet you there in 5 minutes. Took off my tie had a good breakfast at a restaurant and never went back to the gossip city again. That was over 10 years ago. I did the cold turkey thing, They started coming by for years but no one was never home. (that's strange). Now I have a big do not disturb sign on the front door. I guess they got the message. My kids got there keys and they just come in. That's the way it should be. GH

Why, why can't a girl start the lawn Mower?
by restrangled inok, my husband is in bed, there is just enough light to mow the lawn.
the gas tank has just been refilled, and there is fresh oil.damn it, i have primed it as required, and have pulled and pulled and pulled the stupid string.. why cant the damn thing start with out a guy???
my husband is now asleep and the damn lawn is 5 inches tall.. god help me!!!!!!!!!.

This also disgusts me! I work At a Hospital and clinics. I see the PHD Doctor from some of the most famous college's of the nation on the walls of there office. Yes very impressive!. These are very good people dedicated to help mankind they even take an oath and live up to it. What kind of spew comes out of the talks of the assembly is just ridiculous. Hello there Brother assembly speaker you might be the one D.E.A.D if you get no one to help you from a person with a doctors PHD!!!!

Last Night an Elder called me,,,,but
by orangefatcat ini didn't answer the telephone, i just didn ' t feel like getting all riled up as i have enough on my plate right now.. it was the same elder who showed up at my bedside while i was recently in the hospital.
i told the hospitals administration years ago to take my off the jw list for visitations.
so i was quite shocked to see this guy.

Packing ?
by rwagoner injust curious if any other xjw's carry concealed weapons on a regular basis ?
because of my work (job that pays the bills) and my business (will pay the bills somday) i got into the habit shortly after leaving the dubs.
now i am a solid supporter of a law abiding, qualified citizen's right to legally carry.

Now I understand the club of concealed carry. I was stoped for going 10 mph over the limit. The officer come up to me, and I handed him my drivers licence and my concealed weapons permit. He went back to his car and came back. We started talking guns. So we argued about Glock verses Springfield's XD. Nice guy. Last winter a very aggressive man came up to me wanting money. I said I have no money for you. He said yes you do. I then shouted back off! showing him the handle of the XD 9mm. He got the message and ran off.
