What is really scary to me is I worked on there quick build and meet a lot of the "friends" from Shoreline.

Now it gives me the creeps that I rubbed elbows with them.

i have been a blond my entire life, and am really sick of trying to maintain these locks in the champagne color family.

my roots are now a shimmering silver and i wonder should i get it done that way.. girls what would you do?....guys can post too by the way!.

My hair is all white. It started turning grey at 30. I still have a full head of hair.only white.

I had the same problem. What worked for me is I changed my phone #. Only my real freinds have it. Put a do not disturb sign on my door. My kids have the keys and let themself in. It works!! they read the sign and go away. If they ignor it and knock,no one awnswers.

It took a while untill they got the mesage. After 15 years most of them moved. They forgot what I look like and I forget what they look like.

I did meet an elder who knew me but we talk about the weather that was a year ago. Oh I forgot I went to see a JW in the hospital he was the only one I liked he was my age. I had to see him and say goodbye and just be at his side every day untill went to sleep. His family were all JWs and knew me. After that episode I just went under ground again. It a shame you have to do it that way, but thats the way cults work. (easy to get into and very hard to leave)

a couple of years ago i was left with over 700 lp's of music....(don't get excited...it was not classic rock)....it was show tunes, operas, and various classics.

i pulled those i thought were decent....and now i am left with 2 closets full of stacked operas and what i consider crapola.. i have no interest in posting this on the internet or trying to sell it.

i just want it out of my life...i can only throw out a small amount at a time.

Do you carry in backcountry?

there was another thread that got a little derailed by arguments between gun-owners and non-gun-owners, but i'd like to continue the discussion of a single topic (without rantings on gun control, please):.

do you carry a firearm while in backcountry?

either 4-wheeling, backpacking, or doing ranch-related work, etc?

I go in the back country alot in Wa state. I always carry a small arsnel with me to practice shooting. How ever is noted that meth heads and pot growers are in the fringe areas. The best way to protect your self from any proplems is to go in a group and bring a dog with you. A dog will always alert you to problems before you can. Bear spray is better defence than a handgun. We have black bears here and when they see you they run.

I had 3 kids that wanted my camp 2 years ago and were looking for trouble. I had my AR 15 next to me and they left.

We have to wait untill feb of next year to carry loaded firearm in national parks. (Obama signed the law a few weeks ago with the credit card law)

when i was a minny man i was used to give p.ts home and away, this stopped when i asked to be given no more p.ts about 5 years before i left.

our p.o gave out the outlines and the venue in the old days, later another elder oversaw (is that a word?

) the business.. i refused to give one outline because it was such a load of rubbish, and i said so, our p.o then allowed me to go through the outlines and pick one i could do, not easy,took a lot of looking !.

Such a contrast with the small church groups in ca. USA. There are many latino churches that comfort the "illegals" just the way Jesus would.

Were you afraid to go to a bar?

someone who shall remain nameless (*cough*snowbird*cough) mentioned she has never been to a bar.. this shocks me.. i was remembering how terrified i was of going to a bar when i was exiting the mother ship.

i was looking for the lightning bolts to get me.

and it was a big nothing really.

When I was 18 after the Friday meeting at the kingdom hall we when to a bar with live country music. I told my parents I was going out to eat with Bob. That was in 1967. Back then the drinking age was 18. That was my first exposure to bar. It was really cool and I felt grown up. Bob was 10 years older than me.

Now am 58 years old and I do not care. Actually it is agaist state law for me to go into a bar, so i can't. I will have hell to pay.
