  Scrapheap Challenge/Junkyard Wars

  anyone seen either or both of these shows (uk and us versions respectively)?

  two teams have 10 hours to build a working machine (hovercraft, dune buggy, rocket, etc) from bits and pieces found in a junkyard.. why do i get the feeling that the wbts is the result of a similar challenge on a religious level?

  a team had 10 decades to build a religion from bits and pieces of scrap left over from other religions, or at least that's what it looks like!.

  well, i did it.. it's official and i'm relieved.. the elders wanted to try talking to me once again, but after awhile it was obvious that they were only interested in changing my thoughts not answering any questions.

  so, i just calmly asked if i could disassociate myself.

  they acted stunned and they got tears in their eyes, but i told them that i had already grieved and was ready to move on with life.

  Especially in the last few weeks, your too knackered to really be bothered and bump is so big it's uncomfortable.

  My hubby was so frisky - he wanted it at the hospital the day after!

  I'll never forget Simon's face when he came to visit me, two days after Liam was born, my milk had come in that morning. His eye's nearly popped out of his head and he spent the entire morning talking to my chest.

  lyall james was born at 12pm today @ 8.1 lbs.

  mother is doing fine.

  bubs is in the icu with a breathing problem but should be fine.

  Two sex questions

  ok, have had enough to drink tonight so i will toss these two questions out.

  will discuss this a bit more tomorrow.. 1. how many of you had sex outside of your marriage after leaving the witnesses?

  provide whatever details about how and why that you're comfortable with.. 2. funny question: had a friend write me today that probably more jws per capita enjoyed oral sex the night they read it was a "conscience matter" than any other group in the us.

  Feeling desperate................

  im not the first to go through this, i wont be the last.. i was raised in the truth as a result of my mum starting a study when i was 4 years old.

  that was in 1968. the hysteria of a 1975/armageddon was just beginning to take root and the sister who studied with my mum was 100% sure of it.

  Mispronunciations at the meetings

  moxy raised a point in the "exaggeration" thread that aggravated me at the meetings.

  mispronunciations.

  moxy mentioned the word 'hyperbole' as frequently being mispronounced.. another one that bugged me was 'epitome'.

  We had one elder who pronounced Noah as Nor. The most painful meeting was when he gave a public talk about the flood.

  What's a parent to do?

  i don't know if i am the only one with this problem or not.

  but i have two boys ages 4 and 6. i get them up at a normal hour (the older one is in school, now).

  i even put them to bed around 8 or 9 pm, depending on what is going on for the day.

  Tammie I know how fustrating it is, when all you want to do is sleep.

  They will probably get out of it soon, as much as Liam likes to sleep and few months ago he started waking at three in the morning and wanting to get up, thankfully it only lasted a week. We just let him sit on his bed, we didn't let him get up and walk around so I think in the end he was bored at went back to sleep. I was like the walking dead in the mornings though becasue I had to stay awake to make sure he stayed in his room.

  We finally had the child!

  17 days overdue...but we finally had our daughter!.

  we now refer to her as the child formerlly know ans fetus.. 8lbs, 5 ozs...
