  Flame Ups? Tired? Scared To Voice...............

  i am wondering how many here are often reluctant to post their true opinions on certain subjects to evade being flamed, made to feel lesser than human, or being ganged up on?

  i ask this as i have read threads and had things i would have liked to contribute, but feel i have already had so much stress that i cannot take the type of personal attacks that occur here.. before anyone jumps in and attacks that statement, i have had a recent physical illness that has stressed me beyond normal limits.. we have all seen it happen.

  then along comes a mr nice guy who sticks up for the attackers.. ana...,of the "just cannot be bothered class".. .

  Am I the Oldest One here??

  today is my birthday, born in 1936. that makes me 66. i can hardly beleive it.

  i'm still in good health but know it's just a short run until something does me in.

  i'm really thankful for the great life i've enjoyed, no real problems that i consider serious.

  at 8.30 gmt today, buckingham palace announced that the queen's younger sister, princess margaret had died as the result of a fourth stroke.. englishman.. truth exists;only falsehood has to be invented.

  october 1 a new day: looking back on the first parts to this series, one who is an ex-jw can perhaps appreciate these events as no other person.

  what may be a little different is how an exit can, for some, such as in my own situation, drag on and on with new difficulties, bizarre twists, and unexpected players on the field.

  Thanks for posting your story Amazing, its so interesting.

  I read Wolves Amoung sheep a few months ago, it's a very sad and sometimes disturbing story but definately a 'must read' book.

  well heres my story and i'm sticking to it :).

  my grandmother became a witness when my mom was a teenager.

  my mom became one when i was 4. that would be in 1954. i remember going to the international convention in ny at the yankee stadium and polo grounds.

  inspired by district overbeer valis and his smurf sticker contest, i decided to up the ante and announce a song contest for all you so inclined to play.. what i have in mind is this: take any recorded song you like, even the dreaded jw kingdom songs, and redub them to something much more fun!.

  if you have a cool bastardized song (well that is what valis says it is called when you do this) then we can try it out at some of the apostofests that seem to be popping up like crazy all over!.
