I think sueing the WTBTS would be more appropriate.
This sounds as though the husband didnt believe that you can die from refusing blood.
Very sad.

i understand from news of the world that anthony gough wants to sue the hospital because he feels they were neglient in saving his wife's life.
I think sueing the WTBTS would be more appropriate.

Thankyou for this information.
I wish those with authority could investigate this evil cult and expose it.

........that everything that you have ever written and posted online is there for an eternity and will be accessible for your great grandchildren to read.
"hey mom, listen to what great-grandad said about our great forefather vishnu mohammed bush - he called him a colon hole".
be careful what you write.
A million words now living will never die.
Our own immortality.

to make friends since you're out of the organization?
maybe these things take time.
it's hard to establish new friendships when ones i had for years floated away in an instant.
Yep this one is very difficult to remedy.
We lost our friends when we became dubs and now having left the dubs its hard to start again.
Most on the forums seem to be younger than us (51/52) and so we dont have much in common.

many here are afraid to come out into the open with their identity because they still have friends and family in.
however, it is noticeable that there are many newbies here and more and more exposes on watchtower.
do you, therefore, feel less intimidated or afraid now?.
Hi Ian
great to see you back and posting with a vengence.
To answer your question I have no fear of the WTBTS or its minions.
I have a great awareness of the problems caused by giving too much personal information out on any public forum including JWD. Not everyone who posts is who or what they claim to be - remember Caspian. Openess tempered with caution is needed.

what were your excuses for not going to the meetings?.
ours were the usual ones, boredom, illness or weather, yepp even the tiny snow flurries were a good excuse to stay home.
linda.
Shortly before what ended up as our last meeting I told an elder that we were considering taking a sabbatical. I dont think he knew what that meant but thought it was scriptural so just nodded and smiled and talked about something else.

A helluva lot of them would have to get off their pioneering backsides and work proper jobs and hours like the rest of us do.
No longer would the social security system prop up their door knocking.

a year ago in my cong, an elder who must be hitler's love child, gets up and tells us how some brothers are planning a fancy dress party, a large social gathering.
sounds fun i though!
"brothers a sincere christian would not attend such a gathering, we are warning you not to go near it.
There was a WT that specifically banned fancy dress/masquerade parties. Sorry havent got the CD to hand but I am sure it would be easy to find.
Yes they have the power in their own little world to ban anything that take attention/time/money away from the WTBTS.
We also had a local needs item in our cong following a 70's themed fancy dress party many years ago.
