  do any of you parents and/or sons and daughters feel weird about sleeping in the same bed as your parent and/or son or daughter?

  is there a certain age that this behavior becomes inappropriate?

  i ask this because the c.o and his wife that are staying with us this week: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/9/107349/1.ashx brought along their 18 year old daugher.

  If I was 18...I would NEVER sleep in the bed with my parents...do people do that? What do you mean by cultural thing??? I didn't think anybody did that unless under dire circumstances...like and earthquake or hurricane, etc. Just my 2 cents

  Sad news from Maui

  we went to our favorite beach, met up with some of our local friends.

  we don't have much in the way of details - but heard some devasting news that ari (well known to seattle area exjw's and i am sure by many on the board) killed himself sometime over last weekend.

  he was so excited about moving to maui, and starting a new life here.

  The only person he's likely to shoot is himself. Poor sod. Wonder why these people can't just go ahead and shoot themselves first before messing up everyone else's life? Poor guy???? Sounds like a wife beater and needs a good beating down himself...couldn't happen soon enough for me! No one deserves to be beat on...just leave!!!   while going through this psychological trauma with my husband's hospitalization, i realized that the doctors seemed to be more reluctant to give blood transfusions.

  so, i had to do a "google search" on why this could be.

  there's a lot of medical jargon in this report, but nevertheless, it's worth reading.

  Thanks for posting that info. IMO taking a blood transfusion should be left up to adults as to whether they will take one or not. It's a different story for children, but drs. know they can always get a court order in case of refusal by parents. The WTBS should make it a conscience matter...not a DFing offense. I don't think it should be forced on anyone but a person should have the freedom to choose.

  I was watching CNN at the time this happened...I was glued to the TV. It was reported that a fighter jet had gone after the plane in Pennsylvania...the one that was supposed to hit the White House. It was the plane where the people on board tried to fight the terrorists...I never heard any more about the fighter jet. It was only said once and so I thought that maybe I had misunderstood. Then my brother and I were talking about it a few days later and I asked him if he had heard it and he said yes, but it was only said once. When I saw the crash site, I just couldn't believe there weren't ANY pieces bigger than a suitcase left...how do explain that? Also, there was a man fishing in a pond 5 to 10 miles away and he said debris was falling from the sky...never heard from him again either. How could debris fall from the sky when the plane supposedly crashed on the ground? was it shot down? Just questions I'd like answered.....
