High rates of depression in Org.
by chuckyy ini noticed after being a jw for a while that many members of my congregation were having to take antedepressants.
(i counted at least 30 out of 100).
after a few years i too began to have bouts of depression and problems with anxiety.

JWs and ethics
by helios inas a df person i was pleasantly suprised one day to meet an old friend, who was an elder, along with his wife.
in spite of the ability of jehovah to see all things they were very friendly and we shared some refreshment together.
he offered me his business card and advised me he was now a financial adviser and could organise pensions.

I remember one young pioneer sister who was also concerned about her looks. This was in the mid's 70's , when Armeggedon could strike at any time, She quite seriously told me that she was trying to get used to her eyebrows not being plucked in case in the great tribulation she would be imprisoned and wasn't able to pluck her eyebrows,, oh Pleeeeeeeeeeezz

My friend and I would go and stand on the street corner downtown at 8am holding mags and talking to anyone that was interested, Mostly talked to ourselves..lol.. then we would go for coffee and toast and then onto the meeting before field service and keep counting right through, that gave us an extra 2 hours, Lots of sisters did that,,, Had to keep up that hours quota ya know...
