Everyone has a different perspective of what is perfect to them.. and what one person finds perfection.. the other person will surely find fault with it..so.. I guess I believe in perfection as viewed by an individual perspective.. perfection is not universal

LONG...Call with Dad after nullification

i apologise for this being so long, but i know some of you were curious as to what happened following my baptism nullification so as follows, my conversation with my dad.

most of my friends still in have been supporting of my decision and are not shunning me.

Hi unique. ..glad to hear you have made your way out of the org.. but sorry to hear your parents are having a hard time accepting it and are treating you so badly.. As for their circular reasoning.. don't hold that against your parents.. They have been indoctinated so long with circular reasoning from the society.. it is the only way they understand to explain things.. And we all know how JWS are afraid to question anything the GB teaches them.. Maybe with time.. you can get them to see the sense of what you are saying... Hope all goes well with you...

the last circuit assembly there were at least a dozen.

Hi Jgnut.. thanks for the info that the "great crowd" is slowly dwindling and not growing as fast as they would like..The Dubs who have been slugging away for the ministry all these years must be getting worn out waiting for their reward..

1st post, but not new!

hello everyone, been browsing the forum for quite a while now(about a year) and decided its time to post.

i'm male, just turned 36 on the first of april, i've been in a the process of fading for about two years now, not that easy having come from a witness family.

i've been in doubt about this religion for most of my life, but finally built up the courage to stop going to the meetings, finding out now how big and beautiful this world is and realizing how much i missed out on "real" life!.....i started to fade about the time i was being pushed, yes pushed into becoming a ms. i did not want to have that duty, and i say duty, not "privelege" as they would say because thats what it is, a duty!

anyone who listened to sol's recordings, would have heard at the end of the first recording of the second appeal meeting (the one that he showed up with a bearded jw named "sean") sol mentioning a second recording device that remained in a brief case recording the elders as they discussed sol's case without him present.

perhaps you are wondering what happened to those.

well, let me fill you in.. sometime while sol was dismissed from the group for the second time, the elders searched the brief case.

You could call the police as what they did was illegal..at least maybe talk to your local newspaper and tell how they handled your case.. A little media attention can work wonders..Maybe even phone the elders to give them a heads up that you plan to proceed with this..Just to be fair..

i do not agree with your reading of "policy".

i base this on personal experience on a couple of fronts.

1. i have yet to come across a single verifiable of a cover up.

Not everything is so black and white as to what is morally right or wrong.. Years ago..Rosa Parks broke the law by sitting at the front of the bus because she believed it was morally wrong to have to go to the back simply because of skin colour. The police officer who arrested her for that apoligized to her but said he had no other choice.. Sorry but I view Richie obtaining the book.. not as theft..but as a moral objection to the way a cult trains their elders to "shepherd " the flock..The information in the book clearly states the stand the society takes on pedophilia.. that they don't take it seriously as they should..only when pushed to do so... They feel apostasty and questioning the GB is a much worse crime..

I really don't see how they think they could sue you for taping a meeting that is concerning you and being taped by you..It is not an infringement of anyone's personal rights or freedoms..How they handle the JC should not be secretive and should be able to be made public if you as the one under scrutiny by them has no objection to that.. By them threatening to charge you.. if shows they are afraid of the outside world knowing how closeminded and cold they are towards handling members of their congregation.Just the same way they shut down websites.. They are afraid of the real truth about the society becoming public knowledge.. If they were directed by God's spirit.. they would have nothing to hide..It shows they are just men.. led by another group of men..and their own "inspired" ideas.
