i just thought of something last night and figured i better post it before i forget it (getting alzheimers here) about the double standards that the wts has when it comes to interpreting scriptures.
we all know the story about the last supper and how jesus instituted a new covenant with his disciples.
they all drank the wine and ate the bread as per jesus' instructions and this custom has been passed down for 2,000 years amongst all christians except those unfortunate jehovah's witnesses who weren't baptized before 1935.

It's been a long time since I've read anything that Russell wrote, so I'm rather fuzzy on how he applied the term "swine class". But it's kind of a standing joke in our home, referring to things as the "swine class". Maybe someone who has the info will comment.

Nate, you had us laughing here! When I think of the harm that group dishes out, I think you let them off light. On top of the harm they cause to their members, they're proud of harrassing "the world". When I think of the times we called on people on a Holiday or early on a weekend, I cringe. I must have put a sour note into their day.

I think I remember there being two classes listed in Russell's writings. "Christians" and "the Swine class". I'm not sure if he applied them the same way as Rutherford though.

it went great,,,,i did not recognize him,,,,i couldnt believe it,,what a fine young man he became,,,,we had 2 hours of wonderful talking together (bad grammer but i am still in a fog:).
when it was over we stood outside coffee shot for a few min and i am sure i saw a few tears, then he hugged me, for quite a few seconds...and basically he said he would leave in my hands to contact him,,,,here i was worried he wouldnt want to see me for another 9 years.
That's wonderful!!! Between your's and Sassy's stories you've made me all emotional and choked up. Out of happiness, of course.

yesterday, and noticed that the circulation jumped to 32,412,000. .
Of course they asked you to lie. I knew that at the time, I can't believe I actually went along with it. There was some tricky reasoning as to why it wasn't exactly a lie. But I can't for the life of me remember what it was.
