  Hello, long time not being here

  hi folks...just thought i'd breeze by and say hellos.

  life got extremely busy of late but is now starting to settle.

  my biggest news, and what's been all-consuming is that my immigration visa came through and i've moved to the us (southern washington state)!

  Yoga

  okay i got back from the doctor yesterday, and in the past 11 months, without doing anything in particular for diet and exercise, i've lost 12 pounds.

  12 pounds!

  i've been overweight my whole life and being able to "live" while losing is huge.. i joined curves and will be doing that 3-4 times per week.

  Immigration and weddings...

  so i've mentioned i'm engaged and may or may not have mentioned that i'm emigrating to the us from canada.

  waiting in the immigration process, in a word, sucks.

  add to that the we got shafted by a lawyer who didn't do what he was supposed to, so we lost 6 months of processing time not having our application in.

  i'm sitting here with great trepidation at being here.

  i logged in yesterday, compelled by i don't know what...maybe to see who was around, or what everyone had been up to.

  i hadn't logged in since i left back in november (december?).

  no, not jws (although if i think too long about it, i'm sorely tempted to decorate my car a la christmas and park it at the kh during a meeting... *evil grin* ).

  i belong to a 'non-religious' message board (have since 2001) that seems to have a large proportion of newly-arrived christians on it.

  normally, i could care less if they're there; the topic is not religion, there's plenty of places to post that don't even smack of religion.

  Doug Bennett passed...

  i heard this on the way to work and just felt sad.

  i guess it's a fact of life as we get older that more and more of our personal experiences are the ones on the obituary list...just kind of depressing.

  doug and the slugs were the first concert i ever went to, february 14, 1984. they were incredible.

  Copies of WT CDs

  if this post is not appropriate for this forum, the mods can remove it.. i have cd copies of the wt library 1999 (qty: 1), and burned copies of the wt library 2001 (qty: 2).

  i have no interest in them.

  i doubt most people here do either.
