  Being only newly freed from the WTS, there are many people who were my friends that i would like to be able to explain the TRUTH about many of the points raised on this board. So i have decided to compile a publication that i can mail to them with short succinct, hardhitting reasoning on areas where the WTS is misleading them and also areas where they are saying one thing but practising another. I would like to be able to limit the explanations to one topic per page with the hope that if there is not too much too read they may just bother to read it.

  I have read some brilliant explanations in the posts on this board, so i am asking for a little help. Bible quotations are good and so are pictures.

  Please give me some thoughts on chapter 1 which will be titled "Did Jesus die on a cross or a stake?"

  hello every body,.

  i'd like to introduce myself, i hope you will well understand me (indeed, iam a 23 yeas old french girl).. i am very happy to see that several personn has lived the seam experience has me so they are abble to understand better what i feel and who can help us to live better ans follow our way forward life(i hope you will understand what i mean).. i was born in a jw's family, and when i got 12 i begin to ask me some question and have some doubts about this ''thruth".. when i begin to have my boyfriend (not jw) i had to lie...we stayed 4 year together but i never had sexual relation because i was affraid of consequency (even if i was not baptized).

  but every times "brother and sisters" told lies to my parents, about me and about what i was doing with my boyfriend (but we never did anything).

  Fudging on "Field Service Report"

  when i was a jdub i used to write down whatever hours i wanted to write down.

  when i was pioneering for 7 years i would add a few hours to my time each month so that i wouldn?t fall too far behind.

  even when i wasn?t pioneering though i would inflate my hours a bit sometimes so i wouldn?t have the elders hounding me about my time and also so i could hold a ?position?.

  Towards the end i would go door to door and not put a report in. If i was going to go out i was doing it for God. Not to keep anyone happy that i was still a regular publisher.

  Therapy after leaving the Jws

  After being df'd I spent two months in a clinic and then two days a week for ten weeks in group therapy. At the start i wasn't able to talk because of the anxiety and depression i was experiencing. I was so drained from the experience that i would walk from one room to the next then i would have to sit down for half an hour to rest. i had to look after myself because all my family are witnesses and none of them will have anything to do with me. But gradually with professional help i was able to get my life back together. Yesterday was my last day in group therapy. I am happy to say that i am now overjoyed to be free of the WTS and i have a postive outlook for the future. I could not have done it without the help of pschiatrists and pschologists. The WTS policy on not seeking help from these proffesionals is both appalling and negligent.

  a governing body that made decisions based on the scriptures and blessed by jehovah!

  now, he is once again serving as a christian elder.

  3 b-days are in the bible. Job's kids.

  When Moses was relating the account of Pharoah's birthday at Genesis 40:20, he uses the words "day" (hebrew-yowm) and "birthday" (hebrew-yalad)

  Gen 40:20 "And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday........"

  At Job 1:13 when it speaks about Job's children being all together on "the day" the verse only uses the Hebrew word yowm

  The writer of Job was not specifically refering to the day as being one of the children's birthdays.

  Genesis 11:6 & 7 says " After that Jehovah said: "Look! They are one people and there is one language for them all, and this is what they start to do. Why, now there is nothing that they may have in mind to do that will be unattainable for them. 7 Come now! Let us go down and there confuse their language that they may not listen to one another?s language"

  So at Babel all the people started speaking in different languages. If however mankind was all speaking the one language, what might they have attained? Would we have had the industrial revolution 3000 years ago? Would everyone speaking the same language result in world peace? Would we have a world government that equally distributes food for all?

  Seems to me that mankind got shafted around 2200BC.

  Abortion

  last year i went through the painful ordeal of having an abortion.

  it was a tough decision to make but i have no desire to give birth any time soon, if at all.

  but after mixing with those blasted jws they began to ever so slowly put guilt into me for my past choice.

  Nat,

  The sister of my soon to be ex is about 3 months pregnant. The other day she had a ultrasound which revealed that the baby wasn't developing properly and further tests revealed that the baby has severe downs syndrome. In addition, the baby has a cleft pallete, improperly formed heart and problems with the lungs. The docotrs are not predicting good chances for the baby to be born but of course all the JW family are praying that the baby won't die.

  Operations have already been booked for the heart and the cleft pallete for some months after the baby is born. This poor little girl has an atrocious start to life and it is going to be an enormous struggle every day for her predicted short life.

  The mother has been trying to conceive for the last 8 years and had given up hope of ever having a child and had resigned herself and accepted her infertility. This baby was an accident so if things do not work out they way they want then she may never have another child.

  But sitting outside the group now i can't help but wonder whos' interests they are really serving by allowing this baby to be born. Does perhaps never having the opportunity for having another child make it ok to put this child through a lifetime of suffering? Of course from a JW point of view there is no question but to accept fate and bring such a child in to the world. As a JW we were trained to ignore logic and apply hard and fast rules to every single situation in our lives regardless of the cost or consequences.

  Sometimes i think it is more important to stand back and see the bigger picture. Sometimes the needs of the one outweigh the needs of the many.
