It hit the fan tonite...
by beaker ini picked up my kids from my ex (still jw) tonite.
she wanted to come and get them back off me on sunday morning so she could take the meeting and every sunday meeting.
of course i wasn't going to agree to that so she said that she wanted them every second weekend so they could go to the meeting.

The TRUTH for Dummies..........Chapter 2
by beaker inthere was a great response to my request for thoughts on the cross or the stake for chapter 1. there is plenty of information there for me to compose into a single fact sheet.. while reading another post where jana posted a letter she had written to her mom, i read something quite extroidinary.
in explaning the changes the wts make about certain policies she wrote this:.
several times they changed position on rape.

The TRUTH for dummies. Chapter 1
by beaker inbeing only newly freed from the wts, there are many people who were my friends that i would like to be able to explain the truth about many of the points raised on this board.
so i have decided to compile a publication that i can mail to them with short succinct, hardhitting reasoning on areas where the wts is misleading them and also areas where they are saying one thing but practising another.
i would like to be able to limit the explanations to one topic per page with the hope that if there is not too much too read they may just bother to read it.

Where would we be now????
by beaker inthe wts has always maintained that given "the issue of universal sovereignty" makind has been allowed to prove whether he can sucessfully rule himself.
that's why we have so much pain and suffering in the world.
but has mankind been given a fair chance to prove that he can run things without god?.

The colour of grey
by beaker ing,day all from sydney.
i've been dropping in to the board since being d'fd a month ago and have been very encouraged by the posts and they way everyone has been able to move on since leaving the collective.. being a 5th generation, it was always very hard for me to imagine life life outside the truman show bubble.
having a huge extended family who are all believers means that i now have virtually nil social contacts.. soon to be divorced, the only contact i have with my past life is weekend visits from my 7 year old boy and 9 year old girl.

How many rules are there??
by beaker in.
the ancient isrealites had about 600 rules in the mosaic law which they had to keep.. i reckon that jw's are expected to keep more rules than that.. what's your favourite??.
to start off how about...... you must not have a beard.
