Well, all, I finally got a hold of my son's teacher. She told me she thinks it would really benefit my son to repeat the second grade. To be honest with myself, my husband and I thought at his last school that they were behind what they should have been doing. In the back of our minds we thought he probably needs to repeat it. His teacher said that he is where a child is when they finish first grade. If he has a problem during the first quarter of next year then they will test for a learning disability. Our son is taking it well, he doesn't want to go to school next year and be lost. On the plus side she told me that he is one of the most loving, giving, happy children she has seen in a long time. She was happy to see how well adjusted he was after such a big move. A move away from everyone and everything that he knew, except us of course. Anyway, that's what happened.

So sorry to hear about the distance. I think everyone here knows about distance from relatives and how much it can hurt even the strongest person.

It is funny because I was reading a poster in a public bathroom the other day, and the law in this state, states that a four year gap is alright, example a 20 year old can have sex with a 16 year old. But, it is illegal if the four year gap ends up being under the age of 15, example a 17 year old having sex with a 13 year old. I like this law, how many of us went out with older boys or girls that if it were todays standards many would be sex offenders?

I was a whopping 95 pounds when I got married, after three children, i gained about 20 pounds onto that frame. When I see myself, I see the extra pounds. But when my husband sees me all he says he sees is the woman he fell in love with. Gotta love it when they say the right things!!!!!

I remember the quick build in my old congregation. It was pouring rain. We spent most of our time in tents trying to stay dry.

report cards
by five_crew inwe just recently moved to a new state.
where we were living, there were only 500 people, the school system was very small.
our son's kindergarten was combined with the pre-school level, which stunted the things they should have been learning.

my son is in the second grade. We moved late in the year. It is hard if the last school didn't get him where he needs to be, you have a hard time remedying that in the last quarter of the year. They are all good suggestions. I am awaiting a call back from his teacher. One good thing is that his teachers are very impressed with how hard he works and tries. How he is always smiling and his behavior is very good. So, even if his grades aren't the best at least they recognize that he is trying.
