Are pets important in your life?

i always loved little animals, and i always will have one.

i noticed that most families do have pets.

for people living alone, a pet is a good companion.

I have been reading all of these posts about how much pets mean to us and I noticed how everyone has given so much detail to describing how much they love their pets. I have not been posting much lately though I do love to keep up with everyone here and what is going on. But reading all your comments has inspired me to want to share how much my pets mean to me and my family. Pongo, the black pug is 10 yrs. old, Pricilla, the 'fawn" pug is 8mths, Goliath, the yellow lab is 11, Sebastian, the English Bull Dog, is 7yrs old. We have a cat, Casey, 2 love birds, Chloe, and Quakers, and a house bunny names Russ, and 3 horses, a Palomino named Moonlight, 6 yrs old, a thoroughbred/quarter horse filly named Princess, 3yrs old, and a Trakhener, named Airmosa, she is 5. A lot of pets that give a lot of love, and I don't know where to start in telling something wonderful about each one.

LYINEYES, I so love my pugs, especially right now, Pongo who has been very sick this year and we don't kmow how much longer he will be with us. We have taken him to the hospital 3 times since November for a colapsed trachea, and a stroke. But he is still a lovable little spunky dog with a big dog attitude.

a co-worker who sits across the isle from me was recently arrested for molesting a 10 year old girl.

my employer has let him come back to work since he has not been convicted yet.

the rest of the staff were notified by management to not talk to this guy about anything non work related.. it is really going to be hard not so say something to this slug.. what would you do if you had to sit next to a pedophile at work?

Um, are you all aware of the meaning of the word, alleged? Do you realize that anyone can be accused of a crime, whether they are guilty or not?

No Apologies, get off your high horse. This individual has been arrested and with good reason. The police, I am sure have enough evidence on this creep from statements he has made. I have been through this and I know from my own experience with having the pedophile arrested that they have a case against this pervert. Especially with sodomy involved.

i thought jws were discouraged from subjects such as witchcraft, wizardry, magic etc.

i've not asked yet, but i wonder why she feels it's all right to go and see a "demon" picture!

and her dad (elder) has read all the hp books!

The same witnesses that would go to see Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter would avoid having anythng to do with Santa Clause, why? because that is a false pagan teaching

Do You Think You'll See Your Dead Loved Ones Again

do you think that you will see your dear loved ones come back to life in a ressurection of some sort or do you think there is no hope of such a thing?

Maybe when that spark of life leaves our eyes at the moment of death, that energy goes back to the universe and there is other things we have yet to experience, I just don't know. I never felt the JW teaching was real. It never felt real so it is easy now to believe that there is something else in the scheme of things, but I don't know what it is yet. I recently heard someone mention that they believed we all enter the world with a "sacred contract" and that is to live our lives the best way we can towards our other fellow human beings so that when we are with them they have been touched in some positive way by knowing us and that is how we also experience growth in a spiritual sense.

Meetings

let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-- and all the more as you see the day approaching.

the dubs teached this as an obligation to go to the meetings.

The "Easy Reader Version" for the deaf says we should not forget to get together to help each other and encourage one another. I think this was demonstrated even on a larger scale when people of all walks of life came together after 911, in the human spirit of caring for our fellow man.

Staying Awake Or Keeping In A Frenzy?

we ex-jws know very well how much the watchtower society put us under pressure to believe that "armageddon is just around the corner".

they've been doing it in one form or another ever since charles taze russell began publishing his nonsense.

in 1877 he advocated that true christians should believe that christ would "take them home" in 1878. when that didn't happen he moved the event up to 1881. after that he focused on 1914.. the society is still doing pretty much the same thing, building up expectations and then revising them, decade after decade.

Good Morning Alan, I always enjoy the research you do in your posts. I wish I could have identfied WT tactics years ago. I hope any lurkers here are stimulated to really research these false teachings of ever changing doctrines and come to realize they are a false prophet.

seems that the page view out number the posters who actually reply to the thread.. my guess is that there's alot of active jws who are still active within' the so called "truth" are visiting this forum and reading all the threads.

i don't blame them for not wanting to reply for fear of being found out.. how many of you were still active when you found a forum like this one and lurked around for a long time?

how many of you left the organization as a result of reading this forum or other forums like it?.

It's a little pricey, but worth the visit, even if you just come for a holiday drink and appetizers. Beautiful, almost like"eye candy". A must see during the Holiday Season with that special someone.

Jonadab, I have been reading your posts in utter amazement. Just reading your words sounds more to me like reading a publication from Watchtower Organization you claim is Jehovah's representative. Personally I don't believe such a corrupt money hungry, lawyer run Corporation built on lies could possibly have the backing of our Grand Creator. My question to you is, are you of the belief that is taught in the Watchtower that the "glorious ones" mentioned in Jude is actually elders???And anyone who speaks against these elders are comparable to Korah? Don't you think that it is a blatant lie that the Watchtower tells to it's members that elders are "glorious ones". And since they have done this doen't that make THEM apostate as well by teaching a false doctrine as they claim the other religions of Christendom has done? Watchtower has, by it's corrupt behaviour, and it's false teachings over the years is guilty by it's own standards. How do you explain them as "the truth", and your hope for the future, if what they teach is a lie. There elders are not glorious ones, they have lied. Their teachings do not identify them as the true religion that they claim they are.

Nickey, I always felt the same way you do, about it not seeming right.. then after I left I realized what it was. I hated passing the emblems. I felt as if I was rejecting what the meaning of Christ's death was about. I now believe his sacrifice was for me not just an elitist few.
