by badboy in.
on page 13 is an ad by the lord's witnesses.. `the league of nations/un was abyssed during wwii as prophesied in revelation 17.. it is ridden by a harlot which stands for all the unfaithful churches in the world.these are all the religions which have joined the un as ngos(non governmental organisations).they range from the catholics to the jehovah's witnesses.the reason that christian churches should not join th un is that they are supposed to look to god for their protection and advancement not powerful organisations of men.in this sense joining the un is an act of unfaithfullness, depicted in revelation as harlotry, because the church is supposed to be the wife of christ,he should be their head rather than any political organisation such as the un,however noble their charter may be!.
page 14. a man with mental is said to have confessed after reading the sixth commandment.

Watchtower's Armegeddon Frenzy--Again
by ARoarer inwith all this going on over in iraq, and the watchtower society's fear of death tactics on the rank and file members, it reminds me of how much the watchtower publishing corporation leadership is using the same fear tactics of death to all who are not subserviant and loyal to it's fear inspiring religious regime.
while threatening the world with "mass distruction" by thier watchtower false god, and twisting christian doctrine to further their fear, and blame messages, and death to all others, they have the same perpetrating m.o.
as saddam, bin laden, and all other dictatorial figures.

I remember when I was a JW, I always hated the teaching of Armegeddon. It seemed so cruel and contradictory. Some parents I knew used to really take it to the most extreme by telling thier children not to play with "worldly" kids because they were going go die at Armegeddon. When my children were little and they asked me if Jehovah was going go destroy all the worldly babies, I would answer them by saying the bible says God is love, and a merciful God, and also it said that the blameless ones would be left on the earth. I never believed he would destroy good people who, like Mother Theresa, and resurrect Hitler, and others like him. It just never made sense to me. I knew of one mother who lived in a poor area and her apartment was infested with mice. She would leave food out for them and when her daughters reacted with disgust she told them that they should get used to having mice around because they would have to deal with them in the jail cell during the persecution.

badboy Good to see you too! I keep up with things and comment on some of the discussions but have not started any new topics lately.
MacHislopp, I haven't seen Talley post here much lately, but I always enjoy his pictures. They are so telling about the reality of the Watchtower thought and fear controll through the art in thier literature. Especially now with all these fundamentalist governments using threats and religion to put fear in people's hearts. I hope Talley continues to put these pictures up, and if anyone has any old pictures from the Paradise lost book with those pictures to scare children, it would be great to post them.
observadoreThanks for posting the hyperlink again. I still have trouble getting it right on this forum.

Hi everyone,
With all this going on over in Iraq, and the Watchtower Society's fear of death tactics on the rank and file members, it reminds me of how much the Watchtower Publishing Corporation leadership is using the same fear tactics of death to all who are not subserviant and loyal to it's fear inspiring religious regime. While threatening the world with "mass distruction" by thier Watchtower false god, and twisting Christian doctrine to further their fear, and blame messages, and death to all others, they have the same perpetrating m.o. as Saddam, Bin Laden, and all other dictatorial figures. Though they don't actively kill, and threaten death, they passively "kill" and give death threats to those who are not part of thier regime. They do this with thier graphic literature. With burning buildings falling on young mothers holding their dead children, little girls laying dead holding thier dolls, next to thier dead puppy and broken bike, large fanged beasts and a lot of blood, it is sickening how they keep a grip on thier members, and "kill" those who want to leave by df'ing and "killing" in thier family and friends eyes. Last year a poster here posted the pictures of the Watchtower Publishing Corporation literature, and some of it I gave to the producer of Dateline. I was thinking that if more of the public knew the cruel negative side of this cult and viewed these pictures, they would be less inclined to speak to them in thier recruiting work. I hope more of these fear based pictures from Watchtower literature is made available through internet. I am posting the site where this information is for those newbies, and those who have been questioning WT doctrine.

JWs Advertising on TV now
by eisenstein inwe were just watching er rerun episodes back to back...after the second episode finished chachasmum and i saw an advertisement for the jws.
it started out showing a teenage girl on the computer like she was in a chat room...and it was showing her write love notes to someone whom she thought might be a teenage boy...and a voice over said something like...parents protect your children...then it showed an old, fat man with a bottle of beer, sitting back typing on the computer...then all of a sudden it said, "teach your children knowledge, wisdom and thinking ability"...it caught my ear and i looked closer at the bottom of the screen it read: christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses...and gave a 1-800 number.
looks like they are stealing the mormons' pitch.

Ok, so if the WT can put a TV commerial on to falsely give the impression of children needing to be taught thinking ability about fat men drinking beer, then maybe Silentlambs can do a commercial about protecting your family from dangerous people coming to thier doors to offer Bible Studies

Should I let my kids visit my JW parents?
by NAPPY ROOTS ini have a dilema.
my parents are still active jw.
last year they told me they had to limit their association with me.

It is a dispicable thing that your parents have informed you that they will shun you because you no longer believe as they do. By allowing them to have access to your children just perpetuates thier abusiveness, and gives the children a negative message about thier own parents. Mommy and Daddy are bad, not worth associating with. Their tender minds will not grasp the understanding of the way your parents are subtley teaching them that Mommy and Daddy are "less than". The implied message to your children by kind, loving;, present giving grandma and grandpa is that you have done something bad. It gives a warped message on family to thier impressionable minds, and emtionally this disfunctional behavior will be translated to them as completely normal. It just is not good to expose them to this kind of behavior. They may even become guilty by messages from thier parents behavior towards you that there is something wrong with them to have parents that grandma and grandpa and God do not love. You have an obligation to protect your children from abuse of any kind. Sexual and physical abuse are clear cut and you would not let your children associate with grandparents who practiced these things. Psychological, emotional and spiritual abuse are just as damaging. Your parents have abandoned you. The Bible promises that if "my own father and mother did leave me, God himself would lift you up". Inform your parents that family gatherings that don't include you should not include your children either.

Cult Awareness
&
Information Centre
A non-profit organization keeping an eye on the Cults & Isms in your Community.
We are not affiliated with any religious organizationSite Directory
Please READ First! : Both Cults & Isms are listed here. Not every group mentioned on this site is considered a destructive cult. Some are 'benign isms' - different but not emotionally or socially destructive. Even cults vary in their degree of destructiveness. The information about benign groups is provided because we have received more than five inquiries about those groups.
There is bound to be information you will not agree with, however it is our conviction that the public should have access to alternative information before deciding whether to participate in any particular group. If they want to know what your group teaches they can ask you directly.
We have attempted to put the best of what is available on this site. Some files are from other sites linked to ours because during internet congestion it is difficult to access many of the international sites and a 'backup' site ensures the information is readily accessible in the South Pacific.

Sorry to do this!!!!!!!!!!
by REALNESS inthe following e-mail was sent to the admin to post for me since my account had been deleted.
it has not been posted, so i have registered just for this one post.

Jay, I am sorry you have been deactivated. Personally, even though you were a little offensive and mean spirited towards those on this board, I still don't feel you don't still have something go contribute here. After all, everyone, we dealt with a lot worse with You Know, and we even sometimes miss hearing from him now that he is gone. One thing that really urks me MN. The Watchtower label of "apostate" that they give those of us who no longer allow our conscience to go along with their religious false treachings, It is a cruel way go inspire members to ostracize targeted ones. And control families. Well I do hope Simon "re-instates" you. (ewww I hate that word) You are just a little wet behind the ears. Just be careful of those "drooling sisters".

What is this "light getting brighter" crap??!!
by crinklestein inwhat is it with the term "the light is getting bright and brighter" being to used to explain "new understandings"?
what is with these new understandings to begin with??!!
if this was truley god's true organization there would not be any new understandings.

crink, good questions. The light getting brighter is a good way to fool all rank and file members into thinking that when Jehovah changes his mind on things he used to channel down to the mouth piece of the governing potty, as the "Truth", it's ok because if the brighter light is getting brighter then it must be true. Why? because they have a direct channel to Jehovah. Why? because they said so. Now if this doesn't answer your question there is always Moel-nigg. He knows everything there is go know about the Truf.
