yesterday i took all my keys off my ibm model m keyboard and cleaned them and vacuumed the surface to get some dust out of the inside and now it looks like new.
i need to do the same to the one i use at work.
i got another model m keyboard off ebay yesterday.
Laptop here. I have an HP DV1000 and the keyboard suits my needs, but it would be nice to have a numerical keypad on the side...
I always wondered why keyboards don't automatically come with an option to be able to light up the keys. I think a keyboard that lights up would be very popular, especially for those who want to surf in the dark.

reading about the passing of wings' mom got me to thinking.
my mother has shunned me completely for the past 20 years with the exception of three conversations about health history.
if i outlive my mom, the probability is great that she will die without me ever seeing or talking to her in any kind of meaningful way.
Hi! My Father had died, and my Mother never told me. I found out on the internet 3 years after he had died. I was doing a search on my family name, and an obit came up for my father. It was a very surreal feeling, and literally almost put me in shock. It was the same with my Grandfather. I called my Mother and asked her why she couldn't even tell me about the deaths, and she said that that is how I will probably find out about her too, on the internet. The conversation was very limited, and she hung up. Every time I have tried calling her, she won't speak to me unless I come back to Jehovah. I guess I won't be speaking to her again...

i remember about twenty years ago some teenagers were caught fornicating in one of the additional schools.
the schools were downstairs, essentially separated from the rest of the kh.

One Sunday at the KH in Ormond, the C.O. Peter Lett was visiting, and while he was on stage, a bum came in and sat in the front row. The C.O. mentioned that his wife was from Germany, and as soon as he said that, the bum yelled out "SHE'S A KRAUT, SHE'S A KRAUT"! A few elders immediately got up and escorted the bum outside.
Another time, I was bending over in my seat to pick something up from the floor, and I accidently ripped a very loud one off. The speaker was in shock, kids were giggling, my Grandmother elbowed me, and a Brother the aisle over jolted upright, and said that it felt as if he got shot in the back. I was totally embarrased...

i have to say that in my experience, having known personally several who were "of the annointed", most were absolutely dingy.
the only exception was the little ancient gal who had attended the early convention where all attendees were "annointed" en masse!
My Aunt has claimed to be annointed for over 30 years. She is one of the most manipulative people you would ever know. Her Brother(My Uncle) was gay. When he was alive, she would visit him during the holidays and her birthday, knowing that he would buy her gifts. He was very wealthy, and she would get new cars, a free house, lots of cash, new clothes, etc. She would even give him Xmas and birthday presents in return. My uncle thought it was the most hypocritical thing for my aunt to do, and would laugh that she claimed to be annointed. My uncle had a publishing company, and used to publish a gay magazine. When he died, he left 51% of it to her, and she was more than happy to be getting monthly checks from the profits, and even tried to sue to get control of even more money. At one point, she was added in the magazine disclaimer as the Publisher of the magazine-which technically she was, and she had a HUGE fit that her name was on the magazine. She tried once again to sue, but she couldn't win as she was really the publisher. The other people working at the magazine agreed to mail copies of the magazine with her name on it to her Congregation. I don't know whatever happened, as I have no contact with any part of that side of family. Too funny.

as a permanent residence to the usa having had to go through immigration meetings, medical tests, means tests and a pretty good dose of fear - it bothers me that the same city that i had to go to for my hearing, past armed guards to prove my worth, wants illegals to come out of the woodwork and take advantage of the services the city has to offer, with a promise that they won't be rounded up or harmed in any way.
i don't seem to understand this system at all - i feel penalized somehow for doing what was right yet, i can still feel badly for those who are scared while here illegally.
Before too long, it seems that legal residents of the USA are the ones that will need sanctuary cities...

From other research, it appears that the 10-12 million illegals is a bogus number, and is likely double that amount.
I always carry a magnifying glass-! Actually, it is a 10x jeweler's loupe, as I deal in antiques and vintage jewelry. I would be lost without it, and almost start to panic if I am out buying and realize that I had forgotten it or left it somewhere. It is always with me. My jeans even have wear spots in the shape of the loupe, similar to the wear marks of people who carry tins of chew, but smaller. My keys are hooked in my back left pocket, wallet in back right pocket, loupe in front left, and change along with a pack of tic-tacs in the right front. Always the same setup whenever I go out. It has been that way for years...
this is by far the most horrible bizzare med i have ever taken.

Have you done any research on Lyrica? I know people who have taken Depakote and Topamax -(myself included), and have had much better success with Lyrica, and helps with pain too...
i don't know if anyone else here buys or sells on ebay.

a few years ago in my old hall, it was common to see brothers use props in their talks, whether it was a public talk or during one of the theo.
school talks.. now, noone uses props.. just one of the many things gone by the wayside that used to make talks more interesting..
