People say to get stuff made in the USA. That is all fine and dandy, BUT have you ever tried to get stuff only made in the USA? It is next to near impossible. Then, when you do find something with a tag "Made in USA", oftentimes some of the parts of the item are outsourced anyways. Really sad...

JWs and Star Trek...

one part of my experience with the jw's was that many of the elders in my congreagtion were die hard into star trek...i figured it was isolated to that one kh, but as i went to different ones, i noticed it was a lot of them.

one elder explained his fandom as: "it makes me think of the new system.

we will travel to other planets when the earth is full, and colonize the galaxy.

I compare the Watchtower to Klingons. No matter how much you try to wipe them away, they stay tangled up and irritating, a constant pain in the butt!!!

Have you found a new bible translation you like?

i know, it seems like half of everyone that leaves turns athiest.... but for those of us out there, who figure on still being christian, have you found a translation of the bible that you belive lives "up to par"?

i'm really trying to research, but there's so many, i wondered if you had any input!.

cardioversion

well, i had a procedure today i've wanted for quite a while.

i've had atrial fibrillation for years.

today i had a cardioversion - electrical shock to the heart to convert it to normal rhythm.

I'm glad your procedure went well. Isn't it nice that there are so many non-invasive treatments nowadays?

As for the fried mac and cheese, anything with bacon would be yummy! I try not to eat too much junk food, but the mention of bacon anything makes my mouth water!

A real rush..standing 10 feet from the edge of the Marianas Trench

a few years ago i was in guam and could walk out on the reef on the eastern side about 200 yards in water up to my waist.

the water is a beautiful turquoise until one gets to the edge of the reef where there is a distinct color change to a dark, almost black, blue.

i stopped about 10 feet from this dark line, knowing it was the edge of the 35,000 foot deep marianas trench.

WOW! That must have been a neat experience. I remember when I was young, I would swim out to the sandbars in Daytona, sometimes at night. I look back now, and wonder how I could have done that. Now when I am near the ocean, I am lucky to go into the water up to my knees!
