  How long before you tell people you were once a Jehovah's Witness?

  most of the people i've met since i left don't know that i spent years of my life as a door knocker.. i have very dear friends who don't know.

  i've even had lovers who didn't know.

  my last partner knew, and found it vaguely amusing.. i guess i find it deeply embarrassing, although over the years it's become easier to mention it.

  It depends on the person and the conversation, when religion comes up I mention it then. While I was in college (this being over the last two year) religion came up a lot in sociology, psychology and philosophy classes I was forthright then right away and the instructors were happy to ask me questions and use my expierinces as a kind of live way to interject what kind of effects a cult or strict religion could have on a person.made for interesting conversations.

  People will freeze a lot of times when they hear it also, beings how I seem to bring it up when I want a conversation stopped * "in-your-face-religions" can be talk stoppers, for "in-your-face-fanatics"

  I so agree with you that could very easily be my story, My daughter is looking up the old childhood friends she remembers so well from before the dub years and is starting over with them now they are grown and are having children. But I get no replys or words from their parents my old friends from before, some of my family are "coming around" and warming up to me again slowly. But it is sad and hurtful for everyone involved.

  I will miss him.........

  my cousin - only 65 - and until monday in seemingly good health - took a walk to his little woodshop and did not return on monday.

  two hours later his wife found him.

  aneurysm of the aorta.

  My Daughter

  yesterday afternoon i took my daughter to a beauty school to get her first perm.

  she has been wanting one for a while and i've been resistant until just recently after taking her to a school ice skating party and viewing her classmates...it was time to do this.

  i watched her sit in that chair the whole time, watching her go through the process, she enjoyed the whole thing.

  i am watching the #2 oregon vs arizona football game.

  oregon is losing at the begginning of the 4th quarter, 31 to 17. if oklahoma wins its next 2 .

  games, we will meet kansas, in the big 12 championship game.

  My daughters surgery went very well. She was out of recovery in half the amount of time, and *the first thing she asked for, was her cell phone. She texted messaged her friends all the way home. Once we got home, all she wanted to do was eat. It's all I can do, to keep her away from solid food. That pain medicine works great!

  *Is that not a young'un for ya! glad all's well with her.

  She sounds like a fun kid and she sure is a cutie, I'm anxious to see the after shot too. There is nothing like a hair change to make a girl fiesty especially when it's one that we can work.

  I remember when my daughter got her first perm which for her meant a spiral since her hair was so long she spent a long time in the chair getting that done, but she seemed so grown up while the change was being done, it was the first moment for me when I "got-that-tinge-my-babygirl-is growing-up".

  A New Kitten . . . (Katie Kitten)

  i feel quite giddy making this announcement!.

  katie kitten (louise) text me last night at 11.30pm to tell me to tell you all she's had a litter of one.

  a little boy, josef jack, 8lb 14oz, born 5.55am on nov 15th.. she apparently had a long and somewhat rough time of it and is gonna be in hospital a day or two.. i'll be the first to say congratulations.
