It is well known that in America people like to sue as a way to hopefully make some money. Here it all depends on the evidence if the cancer had indeed spread all the way to the penis then they did the right thing but they better have the evidence to prove it. No doubt they decided better a living man without a penis rather than a dead man with one, a dead man can't enjoy anything a living man without a penis can still enjoy many things and since as I gather his testes were also removed he will not even experience sexual passion and frustration, due to lack of testosterone. It's not their fault if cancer decides to strike at and wreck the most tender part of the body.

Definitely not, 144 000 is nothing but a symbolic number just as are the male, jewish, virgins making them up. The JWs do not believe that the 144 000 are literally male, jewish virgins yet they take their number literally, a very dodgy way to interpret this verse. And very slim chance that after 1900 years of christianity we have less than 144 000 saints.
My suspicion is that the fds gave that wacky interpretation to distance most dubs from power ie most are not of the 144 000 and thus are second class citizens or followers and don't have the right to meddle in the running of the org which belongs to the 8000 or so "anointed" who are nonetheless totally ignored if not despised by the GB, and their intimate circle whether "anointed" or not. -

Chrome may be fast but there is a perhaps a privacy issue with using the Google search engine since they keep a file on the searches made by each individual, do they not? To evade that I use www.scroogle.net (though who really knows if they are not also up to some trick?) which means searcing with Google through a proxy, gone are the Google ads on the search results pages and hopefully the searches tracking.
Given the above I would really think before using Chrome though if not visiting suspect sites it's not really a problem unless like me you feel nervous about others building a profile of you through your searches, perhaps most people don't really care about this profile building.

It depends how you see the whole stumbling process, here we have the fds stumbling people by exploiting their naivity and ignorance on spiritual matters and putting them on a process of severe exploitation and emotional repression that is very anguishing for them. They are justified to say they have been stumbled and as Jesus warned there would always be those creating scandals.
Some are more susceptible to repression and damage through the destructive WTS god image others don't take it so seriously. -

Should Prostitution Be Legalized???
by minimus inrecently, in the news were reports of 90 plus year old men being arrested for soliciting prostitutes.
i believe the charges were dropped.
and the vast majority of people polled thought that police should worry less about prostitutes and johns and more about city government waste.. your thoughts?.

Whichever way we cut it there is no doubt that prostitutes suffer severe emotional and social damage due to their profession, they are considered to be near the bottom of society eg no self respecting man would ever marry a prostitute even an ex prostitute.
Even in the most liberal society they carry a stigma though this may eventually change if they get reformed. Prostitution is always something unnatural and destructive and even pointless in a society where there are sexually available women by the millions who do it for the pleasure of it and no less to evade the anguish of sexual frustration.
There is much more depth in the sex act than merely genitals rubbing together (the Swedes got this right they penalise the client and not the prostitute) otherwise rape wouldn't be such a great crime. -

We should differentiate between the tenderly compassionate god of the gospel and the kind of vicious, severe, unforgiving god projected by the WTS, the two do not coincide. The JW god is an artifact created for the sole purpose of achieving mind control through this ruthless and destructive authority figure. That's why we say the JWs have regressed back to the old testament set up and caused many to be stumbled and hate god.

They have a way of playing with people's fears and insecurities and this is central in their scheme to attract and hold members with this never ending bizarre mind game.
There are people susceptible to fear who can be victimised by such propaganda and so the JWs keep up and exploit profitably the old adventist theme of the imminent end which is nothing but a 19th century quack religious theory. Even in the 21st century millions of dull witted dubs are marching to its drum beat and this involves strange, easily excitable psychology that deserves careful exploring. -

Working out in a single country such statistics is difficult enough but on the global scale which (I understand is the case here)it's really impossible, anyway 9000 out of six billion having sex globally at any moment must be way too low. Or perhaps the above refer to a small country or part of a country rather than the whole world.
