If they want to act that way and disrespect the family for the sake of some sick old men in Brooklyn then it's their own loss you don't need the JWs there are plenty of other great people in the world to associate with.

Minimus that was one thing that never bothered me because I knew that they weren't anything unique as they claimed, and no special salvation could be derived from them.
If anything they are on balance worse than other christian religions because they aggresively seek to control their members lives. -

It took me a while to realise that the world would be better off without them as I used to think that they served a useful social purpose eg helping some drug addicts. Then I realised that they did far more harm than good and that the world would better off without JWs.

and as a result all sex relations never results in reproduction or transfference of decease because of this prosess.
now if that were true would you like the casual view of sex, would you indugle is it if it was morally exceptable and no one really worried about who belongs to who, and it was no big deal?

It's hard to see how sex can be detached from all emotional content and still have any meaning, unlike what the evolutionists believe humans are much more than a mass of chemicals that make up a physical body.
Usually in a sexual relationship emotional bonds are created which can cause a lot of anguish in mere mortals with limited mental powers when they get broken, a sense of loss, deep humiliation, and betrayal. -

The essence of the law is "do to others as you want them to do to you" or "don't do to others what you dislike or hate."
Clearly a lot of the biblical Christin laws are based on common sense that any civilised society would formulate. The very tedious and restrictive Mosaic law was fortunately done away with. -

surely this was one of the most important events in our time.

The really smart thing about these events that "took place" in the invisible is that no one can go to heaven to verify them, it's a clever Russell mind trick to ensnare the naive, invisible enthronement, invisible resurrectioon, invisible return. Everything invisible and unverifiable.
As Jaffa points out of course Jesus was always present invisibly and the whole point about the second presence was that it would have a visible dimension. As for the enthronement didn't it take place back in the first century? What on earth made Russell think that Jesus was not on the throne for the previous 19 centuries?

In the cong where I was people were not very wealthy but could live comfortably.
There was once this JW girl that was dating with a JW male for a while and they were to get engaged but when someone from a very wealthy family (from a nearby cong) showed interest in her she dumped him for this rich guy leaving him deeply humiliated. He subsequently faded away. -

if they were born in 1900, they'd be 105 now and there are not many of these people left.. if they were born in 1914 they'd be 91 and there are not many of these left either.. can we say that the early light of russell and rutherford, and nathor knowrr is well and truly disproved?.

Gill if I understand correctly with the new wily concept about the last generation they are trying to buy themselves unlimited time. They are desperately trying to keep up the sense of urgency because it is vital to their success as an organisation, which is a big business really. But there is nothing in their new concept that logically leads to an imminent end, it could be near but it could be far (when does a symbolic God defying generation finish it could be many literal generations long?).
Likewise all christian religions always believed in the second coming but they don't know when it will be, they don't set dates as the JWs were doing from 1878 to 1995. It's only the JWs that go on talking about the signs of Christ's second presence. No one else can see them because they are just in their imagination.
