  a question for the 'mericans, of which we have one or two here.

  you've probably communicated with more brits here than you had in all your life before joining this board.. leaving aside the stereo type brit of the movies, stiff upper-lip, unarmed policemen, morris minors and mini's, are we just as you expected us to be?.

  How rude, if it was a Yorkshire mans round i'm sure that they would not try and sneak into a washroom. Speaking from expereience i would say that Yorkshire men are on the whole generous guys (especially my daddy!). We all know that it is the Scots that don't like to put their hands in their pockets.

  Everytime i go down south everytbody insists on mimicking myYorkshire accent although i am very proud of it and wouldn't wanna be from anywhere else. People seem to get the impression that we all speak like the queen. Hell that couldnt be further from the truth. Although it can't be denied that NORTHERNERS RULE!!!! Come on Leeds!!

  Setting a good example for your JW fam...

  this came up in a conversation the other day, and i'm wondering if any of you have ever thought about this.

  now that i'm an apostate, i've come to realize that that term is not synonymous with being a total screw-up.

  in other words, i haven't really succumbed to all of those "bad" things that i was told would happen to me if i ever left the truth.

  hello to all on this website.

  a brief intro...i am 30, was df'd at 26 (on my b-day no less) should have been df'd a long time ago.

  i have no complaints about being out of the organization now, however the initial shock going through the loss of friends and family took some time to get over.

  Welcome to the board . I'm pretty new here myself! I can't belive i have actually found a real combat medic. I wasnted to join the military as one of them but now i've decided that i am going to join the RAF as a doctor. Then we will have the same nickname. Hehe. Your job sounds really really interesting and you seem to be having lots of fun with yourself so keep up the good work.Were all really proud of what you do!

  Yay Aikon , wow that's another Leeds supporter that i have found. I must admit, been to quite a few of the district assemblie down there. I have to say that personally my favourite part is always the little acting scene that they do.

  I can't believ you all want Leeds to go down, damn you all you suck (exxcept Aikon)

  No offence here but i have to agree with blacksheep on this.It's easy for somebody to sit there and criticise. I hate all of this anti-bush thing, nobody and i mean NOBODY is ever suitable for you guys. Besides what good would pulling the troops out of Iraq actually bring? It would mean that the whole war had been totally pointless. Ok so we hear storie about roops been fired on etc. this has alwys been the case in warfare. the ony difference now is that it is publicised more by media attention.

  A religion of doing nothing

  i keep noticing how most of the problems with jws is that they have a habit of doing nothing in many different situations.

  they are a religion of doing nothing, unless it serves the organization.they let themselves and their children die... because they don't take bloodthey do not take action to stop abuse... leaving it in jehover's hands (tm)they don't serve in the militarythey don't votethey don't get involved in the community... unless it is for helping the organizationthey don't make charitable contributions... unless it is for helping the organizationthey don't help non-jws... unless there is a surplus from helping jwsthey don't talk to family and friends who are not jw's... shunningthey don't interact with non-jw's... unless it is to serve the organization by preachingthey don't observe holidays or birthdays.

  it seems like the only actions they ever take are things related to selling more books..

  Lol, dont think that im gonna tell her you said that... her head might start to swell up . I'm afraid that i haven't seen any such video and quite honestly i think tha is quite absurd. If my mother was to do that i would be absolutely devastated ... you can'y just shun somebody because they do not think the same way as you. How rude is that?? tut tut.
