  wow,,, finaly a site that can let a disgraesed and disfellowshipped jw finally, have there say, i had the jw's hanging over my head for years and senior members of my family drop in and out of the sect as and when it suits them, dragging any remaiming members with.

  im now free and relived so are you too, .

  and im probably kinder and non racial than those left in, and i dont live under a shadow of fear, or wear a flowery dress, or high neck tops and granny shoes,.

  You Can't Get It Back

  the higher education thread got me thinking about the thing i loathe, despise, hate with the intensity of a thousand suns about the wbts, namely, the loss of my childhood.

  i remember when engaging in blistering arguements with my parents about being able to play sports or take up an instrument or dream of being an astronaut, or whatever thing the society frowned on that i wasn't allowed to do at the end i would always get the same final reply, "when you are 18 and out of the house you can do whatever you want.

  i can go back and play pop warner football, or little league baseball, or play in the school band, etc?

  I have to agree.

  My life would be so different today. The one thing is sure, ... I would'nt have $$$ worries like I do today.

  I passed on so many real estate offers over the years, I could just through up. And the youth thing, I feel the same as you.

  i know people who don't say their real age, like take off 2 or 3 years.... my mom looks younger than her age, so she sometimes took off a few years.

  gee, i'm just the opposite, i rather say my real age, and wait for a compliment saying "hey you look good for your age".

  how about you, do you ever lie on your age?

  Would you buy a new car on a 60 month loan?

  i have never done a 60 month loan and i have sworn i never would... but with how much cars are costing these days i'm wondering if i will have to do a 60 month loan on my next car.

  that is five frigg'in years!

  i paid cash for my last car ($4,500 - 1999 ford contour se, used) so i had no payments to make.

  Since 1988

  I have only paid cash for my cars.

  O.K. I don't have brand new cars, ... my current car is a 2000 and this last July I had it one year. Just turned 60K miles.

  It look like a newer one.

  But thats just me.

  did you ever notice how jws act when they hear that an inactive jw or a df'd person had something bad happen to them?

  almost with glee, they give that *look* that says, "we told you so".

  It's true, ...it's true

  I have been asked many times, how is your money, .. income, ... how are you feeling, ... and on and on. (since you left Jehovah)

  So I always come back

  I am feeling the best I have ever felt in my life, and am no longer suicidal. I have never made so much money in all my life. (not true)

  Can I tell you about all the trips I've taken this year? Have you seen all the new things I have.?

  They hate the fact, ... that any one will do better after they leave.
